  • i love mel c!

  • the british are worse than we are? I find that hard to believe

you could put your head out the window and hear the collective squishing of cocks being pounded in glee all across the country when britney spears was caught getting all messed up on drugs and shaving her head

how could the british possibly top that?

  • Best girl band ever, each with their own personality.... Now we have just boring slut bands and singers with no clothes...

  • Geri: and bla bla............. Love her! :)

  • I was so Posh now that I look back, lol the way she bounces her shoulders, shakes her hips, flails her hand out and throws her fingers out wide!

  • Comment removed

  • I love Geri I think she's so real and honest xx

  • The song at 6:56).

I mean seriously. Who doesn't want to dance to that song. It just makes you want to move baby!

  • I have so much respect for MelC, she is so honest and true to herself admitting she had an eating disorder during her time with the Spice Girls. It takes guts to admit you are human which is more VB can do, her life is a contant strive to convince the world of ulimate perfection. I cannot relate to her as she is so phoney. MelC is just lovely and very personable, also the one with the most geniune talent.

  • I wanted a consert

  • I love how honest they are by saying, "Wannabe" had one hit wonder written all over it, which it did. Their genius lies in the fact that they were in the right place at the right time and although they were initially manufactured, before they'd even releaed their first single they told their management (The Herberts) to basically "bugger off, we're in charge now" and did it themselves. And even though "Forever" was a bomb, they went out on top with their farwell tour.

  • growing up my friends and i pretended to be the spice girls lol...good stuff

  • How exactly is the Union Jack racist? I'm from the USA so I am not familiar with the situation.

  • @auctionguy5 It's basically because (as Geri explained in her (first) autobiography) - she was worried that wearing one giant Union Jack would mean the Spice Girls (or at least Geri herself) would be branded as National Front or English Defence League. Those are organisations who I guess are like our equivilant of the KKK - they carry out a lot of racial attacks, and want black and Asian people out of the UK. They often wear a lot of Union Jack clothing like trousers or t-shirts

  • posh and scary the best

  • Emma , Geri && Melanie C my favorite Forever *-*

  • I WAS JUST 6-7 YEARS OLD AT THAT TIME!! AND I LOOOOVED THEM AND STILL DO..THEY'RE ALL STILL GOOOOOORGEOUS!.. I'D DIE IF THEY DID ANOTHER REUNION!.. OMG ANOTHER TOUR PLEASE! I'D DO ANYTHING TO GO!!

  • am obsessed with the spice girls.woooh its 2011 now and i still did....another reunion pls.....

  • @ 4:44 LOL that's the geri i remember! good times.

  • I just noticed that that was robbie williams introducing the spice girls for totps!!!

  • @ZInternational10 u said that twice

  • I just noticed that that was robbie williams introducing the spice girls for totps!

  • Those were the good times... I miss the 90's :(

  • Is what Mel B said true about the British press being meaner than the American press? Seems like Mel B was saying the Americans were more positive tpwards the Spice Girls and less critical.

  • @MGMVE Simon Cowell says the same thing too !

  • @MGMVE I've heard the same thing, that as bad as Americans think our press is, British press (especially British tabloids) is just brutal.

  • Japan always grasps those pop stars first. ALWAYS

  • Melanie B sounds scottish

  • @yellaboy2617 It's probably because she's from Leeds, which is located in the county of West Yorkshire, and is the northernmost part of England out of where the individual members originated.

  • I wish Victoria would stop talking about how their UK success was just in England... it was all over the UK !!!

  • I used to love them i even made the collection of Spice Girls album photo, any remenber this??? Was so cute that album.

  • @nettanangel8 I had that album too!!!!

  • GERI IS THE BEST.<3 Total fashion icon.

  • That's how V got B with Say You'll Be There

  • YAY! MEL C HAS LFC UNIFORM ON ;)

  • Damn, Victoria is so beautiful. x__x

  • i think geri just left because she thought it will be a huge story and i can make my own album and go solo and she made everything up because what she says doesnt make sense

  • @1536anne You would think that, but the truth is she was exhausted as you can see in their Arnhem Concert. Just search Spice Girls Arnhem.

  • GAWD! I still LOVE Geri/Ginger <3

  • 3:42 LOVE the way Geri 'dismisses' what they were all about...

Blah blah.... That actually meant something to me when I was a kid, and millions of others. Don't dismiss it love. Where are you now?

It's that attitude which has made your fans leave you. I met her 3 times, and each time she got worse. Rude and moody.

  • @TheMrGobble I completely agree! Not to mention she was the main promoter of this girl power motion back in the day!

  • @TheMrGobble

she was only having a laugh jeez

About time you took that pole out your uptight ass

  • @brendasback Oh go away you ugly hag.

  • @TheMrGobble I could tell she didn't mean "blah, blah" in a degrading way; it was more joking. It's clear how much they all still believe in the great things they were doing at the height of their popularity. Ginge was always my fave. xD She apparently came up with the band's name, & though she may've been a 'de facto' leader at times b/c she was well spoken & the eldest & such, part of what I loved about them was that they never groomed any one as a solo star; they shared the spotlight equally.

  • @rafflesia i agree... no one in the group out shined the others. they were the "spice girls". period.

  • @mimingfication Well said....=')

  • I love that they really appreciated there first single going to number one....that shows their humility but their hunger at the time!!!

  • shit quality

  • i obssess more now then i did then!

  • luv the spice girls always have and always will girl power

  • They really had everything for them, they did start something, something that wasn't there in the mid-90's

Simon Fuller was very very smart

  • o ....my gilrs

  • 2:11 And because the beat was laid back and groovy

  • I was lucky ebough to be 13 when they were big and i LOVED them I remember buying platform bongo brand sneakers!

  • i had those too...lol

  • I was 4/5 yrs old when they were big, & I loved them!

  • I love them vic then geri then melb then emma the mel c but I love them!!!!!

  • they were the best and they still r

mel c is the best though xD

  • Always loved Geri still the best spice girl..mel c close 2nd brown 3rd emma 4th vic last.

  • Ha ha! I love Victorias dig at Geri for wearing the Union Jack dress. Ooops, a touch of jealousy!

  • wow. posh was wearing black back then, too! lol.

  • @leachcobbler

Oh, she did. I was soo in love with her, thought she is soo posh and wore black as well. But I have to say, the fashion sense back then was awful. Especially the high platform shoes (which I had too, have to admit). Yuck.

  • I became a Spice Girls fan when "Wannabe" was released and seeing that music video was at my old house in the basement. I was jamming it like a Spice Party. I love them ever since then.

  • wannabe was released the exact time i was born at the same time lol. 7/8/96

  • Oh My ....Its been many years since I loved them so so so much!!!!!!)))

  • Best girl band ever!!! I don't think we'll see anythinf compared to the spice girls!!!

  • @flavmondi Not even Pussycat Dolls could keep up that's why they broke up..Google: Spice Girls Guinness Book of World Records

  • 2:50

Victoria saying she is not skinny!

    Pot. Kettle......

  • @JMR83 At the time the Spice Girls were big, she wasn't considered skinny. Their old managers told her and Mel C. to lose weight and the press called her pudgy spice at times.

  • LOL, Look at the paparazzi. Just like 2 or 3. Now it's like 50 all acting insane just to get a picture.

  • British are definitely more vicious. Just last weekend we had X-Factor, and Whitney's dress unstrapped at the back .I just knew Brits would comment on that. Or when Sheryl Cole performed one of her songs by miming the words. She got so slagged. I'm thinking right away, you dumb fucks try to perform a perfectly sung song whilst jumping around all over the stage. Impossible. It's like Mel B said, people here will encourage you at first to try to tear you down as opposed to USA. Am I right?

  • I think it depends. For example Heidi Montag has been heavily criticized and mocked from the beginning. I think you have to earn it. For example Britney Spears. She lip syncs a lot but has earned respect for putting on a great show and is a gifted dancer. And the fact that she can sing live, but just doesn't. So I think you have to earn some credibility in the USA.

  • I admire anyone who can carry a tune and sing at the same time. It takes a pretty strong voice.

    Madona does this quite well.

  • @mister8899 Heidi is a reality tv show twat Hollywood is getting sick of them. I agree with you on Britney though, she has that X FACTOR that makes people so interested in her

Spice girls had the X FACTOR plus the fact they promoted girl power thats why girls looked up to them and that equaled success

  • Even though I'm a metalhead, I still sometimes listen to their albums one after the other when catching the tube in London to work, and at work.

  • At 4:03)

She says you gotta have some balls in your life. Um...don't you mean tits? We ARE afterall talking about girl power, right?

Girls gotta have some balls in life. Hmmm....

Just kidding, these chics rule! And I wish they came back.

  • NOVEMBER 7TH IS MY BIRTHDAYY!

Okay sooo a lot of things happened to them on my birthday...

    The Tree Lighting

    The Fired their manager Simon

    Forever was released!!

  • I wonder why British folk are more bitchy and nasty than Americans? Cabin fever, less sun, harder labour. WHo knows.

  • And just how do you know that mr know it all?

  • Because as you say, I know it all.....

  • @TheMrGobble These Girls Can't Act, Didn't you See Spice World the Movie?

they are so natural and true even if they look wrong, thats why ppls loved them

  • @OldDreamFading I have followed Geri's career like a hawk and Here she is being fake. She is English, I know English accents, and hers is exaggerated.

  • 4.39 - 4.44 make me laugh...!!!! lol....

  • "thats racist"

    "what thats stupid!"

  • 7:25 & 9:29 LOL omg i love the spice girls

  • 4:22

    ahaha so funny

    love them

  • 3:37

    LOL

  • They definitely put forth a good message for young girls.

  • spice girls remind of my childhood i miss those years

  • POSH AND MEL C.!!

  • i used to be obssesd with them! When i was little. GOOD MEMORIES.

  • Me 2!

  • @foontera me 2! i have their dolls & pics on my walls & watch their videos alot

  • @foontera i still am a bit obsessed w/the spice girls @ 28

  • @foontera my nana and i are obsessed with them too (my sister and mum aren't!)!! Geri is my favourite

  • they are my role models

  • The TOTP thing is one of their fist tv performances and they move and dance just like they did on their first tour. So weird... In the best way.

  • They certainly got their wish of world domination. I love it.

  • emma looks like twiggy

  • Melanie C my favourite!!

  • @asafbaygan oh hell yeah!

  • 7:43-7:53 sounds like a back handed compliment LOL

    still love SG <3 =]

  • hey but geri has a rocking body now!! dont forget that!!! abs baby!!!

  • i love it when mel c says: " 'Ere we go, hold on tight." xD she has a lot of cute sayings throughout the documentary.

"yeah, were flying." after their 2nd #1 single. :)

i can;t believe victoria thought they werent skinny or pretty. they were gorgeous and still are. and they were really skinny, im glad some of them have gained some weight since then, actually.

and for the first time, geri didnt speak about girl power that seriously but mel b did instead. lol

    mel b at 4:50 lol!

  • i think what victoria meant was that they all looked normal, and they were slim but not super skinny (geri and emma definitely weren't)

they had curves, they weren't covered with piles of makeup, and they weren't that tall

(which is why they wore such high platforms lol)

that's why so many girls could relate to them the spice girls weren't 'model types'

  • true, but geri and emma were skinny! idk what you consider to be skinny then, 100 lbs? or fat, for that matter.

  • i'm not implying they were fat, but there is a difference between slim and skinny

geri is skinny now but she certainly wasn't during spice mania~ she was busty and had curves

geri even says later in this documentary that the press called her the "ponch spice~the fat dumpy one" and emma was slim, but not skinny

  • true, they had curves but they were still slim to me, no bulging fat did they have in their stomachs.

  • yeah you're right, they were slim but not skinny (which is a good thing) cause having their bones showing would not have been attractive

  • Geri and Mel.B become prettier with age.

Mel.C. is prettier w/ her new hairstyle

    Emma same

    Victoria is always different.

But their still beautiful...and they have the same voice in this 10 years.

  • true

  • <3 the footage of them at the Brit awards

Victoria should go back to dark hair

  • 2 become 1 is my fav song

  • Say You'll be There is my favourite Spice Girls song!

Wannabe fails in comparison, although it is catchy!

I love how unstyled they are, except Mel B and V who look super!

  • i missed this on t.v thanks so much for postingg<3

  • what does that guy say

    the ultimate spice girls?

  • he said the "all conquering spice girls" which was true. :D

  • WANNABE all the way lol XD

  • hello, of course! wannabe is a classic!

  • True That!!!

  • wow they are all fantastic in this interview, really mature and lovely!

  • I remember hearing 'say you'll be there' for the first time. I loved the single then and I love it now

  • Normal girls?? they looked like superstars, all the time, in my opinion they didn't look anything like the girl next door

  • iknow! me too. i never even got to see them live yet, ever.

  • The SYBT video did make all the guys like them, and it made all of us girls "wannabe" them. They were truly missed these past 10-11 years. Nothing like the Spice Girls since.

  • here, here.

i know, i love it when Mel C says that! lol i watch it again just for that. she says the funniest and dead on things in this doc. XD

  • oops, sorry. that wasnt meant for you, lol. :P

however, i do wanna reply with this: i totally agree with you. there will probably never be something like these girls again or if it does happen again, its gonna take a while.

  • I totally agree! The Spice Girls can never be replaced. They're totally in a league of their own in terms of iconic status :-D

  • yes! they won the capital icon award back in march i think. :D

  • here we go hold on tied...yes...go back to ur fans ladies...they missed u!!!

  • No robby williams no fue novio de boy friend. Tuve historia amorosa con mel c y tmabien con Geri pero nada mas que eso!

  • robbie williams was the mel c´s boyfriend?

  • what geri says about the flag and the guy was like thts racist, thts so not racist tho

  • what geri said,what?this is racy,which means dirty.thats what i think,lol

  • lol no she says racist, in some countries ure not supposed to wear the flag, cuz its almost considered "rude and anti patriotic" which is why she says its stupid.

  • no she says racist you know if a white person says something to offend a black person julien520

  • she said bitchy-ness

  • on 3:27, did she just say bitchin'?

  • yes

  • emma's right!! all my friends(boys especially) started to love them coz they were sexy in that clip!! lol
