All I had to relieve the pain was a bucket of ice cold water and a vent forward of the ship next to the blast doors. Then after a few hours I washed it off with simple green...which in my opinion works great since this shit is sticky as hell.

It's primarily the Port Security Gaurdsmen who take this training. But if you really want to see a hard OC Spray training test. Check out the Navy Master at Arms OC Spray course. We didn't get the luxury of eye sinks, just a bucket.

I was a Coastie. I was sprayed once for BTM, once when I became a boarding officer and then by the coxswain while I was taking a guy down. At the time we used the highest % of OC Resin in L/E. I miss my friends but not enough to do that shit again.

Actually, not everyone has to have this done. Only people at units that do law enforcement. If I remember correctly, in order to carry a weapon you have to have OC. In order to carry OC you have to have been sprayed with it. When I told my mom about this she said, "Do you have to be shot too?"
