Back when I was a kid, my father would make the whole family sleep in freshly-dug graves for one night each month (he knew some guy at the local cemetery who allowed this).

Dad said this was to make us aware of our own mortality & that only our deeds would stay with us when we met God. However, my counsellor has now analysed this behaviour as a form of ‘pseudo-necrophiliac sexual abuse’.
