@KiwibeatsProduction It depends on how you ride it. I have a 250 but i have rode a friends 125 a few times. If you go all out or close to it on a 125 then you should have fun with it. 125's have plenty of power once you get it screaming, i have seen them easily put some people on their asses! lol, Its a 2 stroke they are all about fun!!!! Let me know if this helps at all.
How far can you go on one CR 125 cylinder before it has to be replaced? Because I want a CR 125 but Im afraid of the costs :P And I know the cylinders are quite expensive.. But If your not driving like a maniac.. Then how far approximately can you go on a cylinder?
@Zapust modern cylinder are plated with what we called NIKASIL. the whole cylider doesnt wear out rather than just the NIKASIL plating. it doesnt cost that much to replate the cylinder as oppose to buying a new cylinder. new cylinder isnt that expensiev either if we are really thinking of spending a bit of money for seurity reasons.

This is the first bike ive ever owned/ridden (2000 CR125) and i can sorta get mine up in 1st gear and pull lil wheelies, but How do you get it off the ground in higher gears? and more importantly, hold it up lol

Na its not hard. I've rode anything from a xr100 to a z400 now and i recently bought a cr125 i love it..too bad it blew up..guess thats a 2 stroke for ya
na its the first 2stoket hats blow up on me ever, but a bearing in the bottom end went and destroyed the whole motor metal shavings just raped the piston and cylinder horribly there was like a 2cm deep gash giong all the way down the piston
haha I blow up 125's but 250's are hard for me to blue up. But that is only if I don't rebuild em every 12-15 hours like your suppose to do. 32:1 ratio I run with 100 octance and Motul or Golden Spectro. It matters wich Bike I am running that day to wich oil. I have my shit set up like I was. But 2 strokes are easy to blue up if ya know what I mean? LOL
Yea I do ride almost pinned all the time. I am always in the powerband. I race so It is almost mandatory for me to do rebuilds. My CRF450 gets a rebuild every 20-30 hours. My 2 strokes are for fun at the track and out messing around. But yea, your lucky to get 30 hours out of your 2 stroke 125. Give me 4 mins on a 125 and I will have that cylinder head cracked. I guess its just how ya ride sometimes. I blow up 125's since im looking for more power half the time. LOL Its all fun though!

No Problem bro. I would love to ride the new 08. I am sure they made some changed. I am just saying years ago I have a problem with frying rings even after steady break-ins and have spin a bearing or blew the cylinder or fried the piston. This runnable and rideable. But That's why I go with 250 2 strokes now. I always wanted that more power after riding 125's for a few years. I also have a CRF450. iv ridden a kx85 2stroke b4. im lookin at gettin a cr125, yz125, rm 125, or a ktm 125 sx. i like them all. im gunna get which ever one i can get the best deal on
Na Man! I got a KX250 and a CR250. have gone side by side. both have pipes and same sprockets along with V-force reeds and the CR has Boysen. They are side by side in every race and at the track. I let my older brother ride one. I just end up smoking him on the whoops and in the turns. But a drag race on street or dirt, they are side by side. It is more of a personal preference if you think about it... Oh yea. The KX does have a racing clutch, but that should not make a different except holeshot
well YZ's are hugely powerful bikes, they kep it consistant in all the revs. but i meant a 125. half the size of the 250 so any lack in power is more noticable. yet sure kawasaki may of come along better recently tho =)
I had a 2002 and I never had a problem flipping when my powerband kicked in. I just had a problem power wheeling in 5th gear. I could 1st-4th but when I hit 5th it'd come down shortly after. Hit your back brake and you won't flip
I dont get this... When ever i try to wheelie my cr 125 the power bands kick in and i flip :s anyone know how i can wheelie without the power bands kicking in cos i'm starting to get sick of just going round tracks all the time
i onyl use the clutch when the front of the bike starts to drop and err i'm normaly in 2nd or 3rd cos the place i go i never have the chance get my bike into 4th or 5th, when i get it into 4 i have to go back down to 3rd or 2nd cos i'm coming to a corner or something xD
if you put it in like 3rd at almost a 2nd gear speed and pin it and yank back itll go into a wheelie...i used to do that on my '92. watch out though...when you hear powerband starting to kick in let off the throttle a little...if you have it at about half gas in powerband in a wheelie youll cruise till you hit the end of what ever gear your in
@Pottzy2006 2nd gear and 3rd gear are good gears to get it up in 4 starters... and yea deffinetely be in band when u pull it up... check out my videos on my cr125 on my channel...

This is the first bike ive ever owned/ridden (2000 CR125) and i can sorta get mine up in 1st gear and pull lil wheelies, but How do you get it off the ground in higher gears? and more importantly, hold it up lol

na its the first 2stoket hats blow up on me ever, but a bearing in the bottom end went and destroyed the whole motor metal shavings just raped the piston and cylinder horribly there was like a 2cm deep gash giong all the way down the piston

haha I blow up 125's but 250's are hard for me to blue up. But that is only if I don't rebuild em every 12-15 hours like your suppose to do. 32:1 ratio I run with 100 octance and Motul or Golden Spectro. It matters wich Bike I am running that day to wich oil. I have my shit set up like I was. But 2 strokes are easy to blue up if ya know what I mean? LOL

I've never blown up a 2-stroke, i replace my top end after about 30 hours, and i ride fairly hard sometimes.

Yea I do ride almost pinned all the time. I am always in the powerband. I race so It is almost mandatory for me to do rebuilds. My CRF450 gets a rebuild every 20-30 hours. My 2 strokes are for fun at the track and out messing around. But yea, your lucky to get 30 hours out of your 2 stroke 125. Give me 4 mins on a 125 and I will have that cylinder head cracked. I guess its just how ya ride sometimes. I blow up 125's since im looking for more power half the time. LOL Its all fun though!

No Problem bro. I would love to ride the new 08. I am sure they made some changed. I am just saying years ago I have a problem with frying rings even after steady break-ins and have spin a bearing or blew the cylinder or fried the piston. This runnable and rideable. But That's why I go with 250 2 strokes now. I always wanted that more power after riding 125's for a few years. I also have a CRF450. But I am just saying from my experience. no hard feelings fellow rider! @27suzuki...

@27suzukirider i feel sorry for your parents for bringing you up like this. i hope they are proud of you. good work. any way. i had 3 bikes. now 2. had i not sold my yz250 from 92 that ike wouldve screwed your rm250 and your 4 stroker right up its pipe. if you didnt know. 92 was and still be a very strong torque bike. you can ask anyone that had owned one so dont be dumb and comment about that bike`s age either. oh. ill be getting a new KTM 250 from 2010 also, just coz i can afford it.

Na Man! I got a KX250 and a CR250. have gone side by side. both have pipes and same sprockets along with V-force reeds and the CR has Boysen. They are side by side in every race and at the track. I let my older brother ride one. I just end up smoking him on the whoops and in the turns. But a drag race on street or dirt, they are side by side. It is more of a personal preference if you think about it... Oh yea. The KX does have a racing clutch, but that should not make a different except holeshot

well YZ's are hugely powerful bikes, they kep it consistant in all the revs. but i meant a 125. half the size of the 250 so any lack in power is more noticable. yet sure kawasaki may of come along better recently tho =)

I had a 2002 and I never had a problem flipping when my powerband kicked in. I just had a problem power wheeling in 5th gear. I could 1st-4th but when I hit 5th it'd come down shortly after. Hit your back brake and you won't flip

I dont get this... When ever i try to wheelie my cr 125 the power bands kick in and i flip :s anyone know how i can wheelie without the power bands kicking in cos i'm starting to get sick of just going round tracks all the time

Try to stand up and have 4th gear and pull the handlebar upwards when youre pulling the throttle!

i onyl use the clutch when the front of the bike starts to drop and err i'm normaly in 2nd or 3rd cos the place i go i never have the chance get my bike into 4th or 5th, when i get it into 4 i have to go back down to 3rd or 2nd cos i'm coming to a corner or something xD

if you put it in like 3rd at almost a 2nd gear speed and pin it and yank back itll go into a wheelie...i used to do that on my '92. watch out though...when you hear powerband starting to kick in let off the throttle a little...if you have it at about half gas in powerband in a wheelie youll cruise till you hit the end of what ever gear your in
