I like the new channel design, but I don't like the homepage design. It looks alot worse on 4:3 monitors. One video in the same space that three videos had.

People will always hate change. Anybody who takes sociology 101 will know this. Just finished watching an old Youtube video from 2007 with people saying the same negative things about the changes they made back then.

Well I like the design, and if someone don't like it, just go youtube(.)com/home and that is the old page from YT, but with some design from the new.

i never use the home page so i dont really care about that, but the channel re-design pisses me off to no end... i mean i could list all the things i hate about it but I only have 295 characters left... =P

@TheDarkSwampert characters.. thats another good point. They've limited the # of characters you can use on channel pages. I can't list all the youtube orbiters there (on @theYTorbit) on the new version :(

@Urgo6667 yup channel discriptions have a 1000 limit, there can only be (>)8 visible people in your box and im pretty sure the got rid of "about me" all together....

@TammyFlores1 theres actually quite a few functional limitations, one I just commented above on. I can't list all the orbiters on the new channel design. They severely limit the # of characters there.

I agree with the 9000 people that don't like the new layout. I don't think I'd mind it as much if videos uploaded by the same user were grouped together in one box like object, and that videos from my subscription list went away after I watched them. But... at this point, I feel like it's a complete mess.

I think you would be an excellent host for keeping people in social media up to the minute in short news clips. Depending on your design it could take you VERY far, as the world is changing in many ways during this time in history. As for YouTube, I wonder what the future is for us 'little' guys, and so I'm riding the rolling ball on what I see as the beginning of quite a few serious changes that are coming, and wondering what their plan is for supporting all of us talking & acting LOL!

I'm 99% on youtube mobile, so it doesn't affect me at all... I've seen the change, but I figure things change anyway, so why fight it?

@GUMBYVLOG Its crazy how much people do mobile these days. I like having a fancy phone but I still prefer to watch videos and do most of my work on the computer itself personally.

I sort of like it now. I hated it at first though. I think that in general, people initially hate any change to something they use on a daily basis. Overtime though, they get used to the change, and end up getting just as mad when another change is made. It's an endless cycle I think.

@jonkftw Personally I don't even watch videos from youtube anymore. I have an RSS feed of my subscriptions set up in google reader and just 'mark as read' in there after I watch videos... but yes that is a big complaint right now. I imagine they will fix that.

@AnotherDayToMoveOn Yeah agreed.. and not a huge fan of the new channels either TBH. The front page actually is the least of my concern since I rarely ever am there anyway.. but I do care about it because I want to make sure people can still see my videos there :)

I don't mind it at all. The only thing I don't like is the fact that the videos you watched in your subscriptions stay on the front page. The old way you can X them out, although they do re-appear at some point in the future. As far as you having news clips on here, go for it. I like it.

I don't mind it at all. The only thing I don't like is the fact that those videos you watched stay on the front page. The old way, you can just X them out, even though they do reappear at some point. As far as you having news clips, go for it. I like it.

Jason...I wish you would do more stuff like this...even if it is on the Social Blade channel. There is a large audience of us that don't know a lot about technology except for basic stuff...so I would love to hear more from someone like you who can talk to everyone (without going over my head) and tell me what you think, why and tips and tricks. My opinion: too many changes at once..I think I'll be ok with Youtube changes...not happy about the new page layouts...but there are still lots of bugs!
