  • OH FUCK. THE ATTACK OF COMIC SANS!

  • frankly for the person that said Brian May said it's an attempt to do funk right, he wasn't being a jerk about it it's that he HATED Hot Space and he took a bullet for the team. He just wanted to do more with the guitar and if you notice there isn't much guitar in the studio version of this song. He just absolutely hated the album and wanted to please I don't know Freddie or John

  • Queen live at the Brendon Burn Colesium in Rutherford, New Jersey: USA 9/8/1982 awsome! :)

  • Pretty Strange this version...

I don't know it's because I listened only the album version, but I think it was slight strange...

  • This was arrogance plain and simple and an attempt to sell more records because of the success of "another one bites the dust". Brian said they wanted "to do funk right". well that is disrespectful to every musician who played funk and honestly is borderline racist.

I don't hate the album just not queen.

  • @shire2005 yes but also remember Freddie heard alot of music like this gay clubs. He wanted to make that kinda music.

  • This live rendition sounds more "Queen-esque" than even the official recording! The "Look at meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" harmony between Freddie and Roger sounds almost like a steam engine! Phwoar! :D

  • I seen Queen less than a week after this show at the now gone Poplar Creek Music Theatre near Chicago. They were no less than spectacular. Even the professional videos of this tour do not capture the size and the movements of the stage lighting. This stage show was far ahead of its time in 1982 and the music was just as incredible. I'd love to relive the live experience of this show.

  • I have that concert on bootleg audio. It's great!

  • 1982? i bought this album as soon as it came out..First ever album i bought was Queens greatest hits! Awesome awesome performance as usual from freddie!

  • FUCKING AMAZING !

  • this is Fab!

  • I've got this whole gig on an old tape, but the quality is a bit bette than this!

  • freddie and roger super!!!!!!!

  • @0ptimates Yeah!

  • Live version of this song much better than albumversion, like all 'Hot Spacesongs'. Strangely enough Body Language was not on the setlist in the concert in april '82 in Leiden, Holland. That gig was before Hot Space was released. They played some Hot Spacesongs (Action This Day, Staying Power, Back Chat) we didn't hear before. The only song we knew was Body Language (and Under Pressure of course) because it was released as a single, but they did'nt play it live then.

  • @queenandi The band didn't play "Body Language" live much in Europe because the song only received a lukewarm response from the audience. The song received better reviews in North America, however, and played on the radio more. The song was played much more frequently on the U.S leg, where the song achieved more commercial success.

  • wooh how impressive this version.

  • better than the studio version

  • Roger and Freddie duo is SUPERB

  • the voice of roger is amazing.!!

  • Was John playing bass or rhythm guitar here?

  • bass

  • Mercury's vocals were absolutely god like around this time,

  • The thing with queen is that each one of them were so talented it is scary...incredible talent, really. Very apparent at first, unlike other equally legendary bands

  • SO TRUE!

All of them sooo good educated and Brian May has his PhD in Physics.

  • Yes..I remember not liking Zeppelin at first, or not really understanding Hendrix, but with Queen, you are in awe from the get go of the quality and apparent facility with which they do it. The only other band that makes the same impression on me is The Beatles

  • @ThisIsKuroCat And Astronomy and Mathematics, too :) (I think)

  • Waooo one of my favourite Queen songs and this rocking version is just insuperable!!!!! I some times miss this kind of risk-taking versions in Queen live! i got the impression they became a bit conservative at some stage with their live set!!! I mean repeating the hits ove and over instead of exploring their endlessly rich catalogue!!! But still I love Queen more than any other band in the Universe!!!!

  • I LOVE this song! It's great to hear it done live. Personally, I like the album version which has the sexy breaths and sighs in it.... *sigh* In fact, this has to be the sexiest song I've ever heard and I've been around a long time (non-sexy *sigh*) Long time favorite... Thanks for posting a live version!

  • Out of all the Queen songs, 'Body Language' seems to be the most polarizing. Is it a guy/gal thing? Just trying to figure out why people either really love it or really hate it... Any thoughts?

  • coultrysmom, Yes, I think it's because of the old sex thing. If you're comfortable with your own sexuality, you aren't threatened by someone else's, and you'd more likely love this song. The opposite would probably be true also.

    Sudsy

  • @Sudsy

Interesting thoughts. Ya' might be on to something! :-) Thanks!

  • I think this song is sexy, and it,s a shame that the video was banned here. Baby Your Hot!!!!!! Linda USA

  • sorry, i love queen , but this is the worst song ever.

  • I agree!!

  • agreed

  • Wow, this song is surprisingly absent from my copy of Hot Space, glad I finally listened to this.

  • baby you're hot!!

  • Wow, I never knew it got played live :-) An amazingly awesome and overlooked song.

  • i love it ! yeah its better than the album !

cos this one have the voice of Roger!

  • I agree. I like the guitar on it.

  • give me...your body!!what a sexy song :-o

  • i love this song, very sexy!! its really one of my favorites from Queen, One of the many!

  • Wow, I've never heard this before! I didn't even know they had even done this live!

It's actually cool! The song is sort of weird itself, but this is awesome.

  • wish they performed this live more often!!! amazing song! :D

  • Uber rare, there will be very few examples of this track out there.

    Honestly though, they sound tired.

  • La versione live molta più bella di quella di studio

  • simply fantastic!

  • Sounds kinda like something off of The Game when its played live.

  • never before I ear some like this...

    interesting

  • Damn I would of loved to see the video for this Im sure Freddie put on a great performance while singing it

  • great version!

looking back now i can respect the directions queen explored but being an avid fan back than with all the metal heads they crucified queen because they werent consistant with all the volume switches at 10 and they didnt wear spikes and all ive remained loyal and now they have cemented their crown in many as best band of all time

  • very rare song live!!!

    thx!!!!!!!

  • Yeah!

  • why didn't they record it like this? rocking!

  • great

  • energetic

  • awesome.
