  • The third string is not D, I think it suits E better

  • Can I know what tuning is this ? I don't think it's EBGDAE

  • @thedevinryanriota Me too. Because at the 4th string, it changed sound, and the other...

  • nice tutorial man but what tuning is this?

  • @TheCrisis102 Standard Tuning EBGDAE

  • @RECVXisabela15morla thanks

ive got a different way to play it though

  • Wow this is great. I love sky sailing and I am an absolute beginner at guitar so I hit a jackpot here. You give the lesson as if the audience knows absolutely nothing (which in this case I don't) I am very happy. Thanks so much good lesson.

  • @agentjs09 Thanks a bunch! I can play the song fully on this tuning and style, but I won't get to posting a continuation to this lesson until I've finished this busy semester. By the way, if you encounter any problems with snapping strings on this tuning, try using slightly worn extra slinky strings, or tuning lower and simply moving the capo up toward the body of the guitar. Enjoy! :D

  • I hope this doesn't sound dumb, but why exactly do you tune things different? Is it to make the songs easier to play?

  • @xcrspy Not dumb at all :), I use different tunings to make it possible to get all the notes. If you compare my versions of brielle and tennis elbow to other covers on youtube(which i did). My versions get all the correct notes in in time. Using a different tuning brings notes that would normally be wide stretches on the guitar closer together to make them possible if not just easier.

  • @Xemnosin That's really smart of you (: I don't think I would've thought of that on my own

  • @xcrspy btw if you're going to attempt my version of tennis elbow, i've recieved one complaint of strings snapping. So to you and others, who i hope will read this before attempting aswell, you may wanna do this song with the guitar tuned down from my custom tuning by a step or half step and the capo moved closer to the body(you'll still be playing in the same key *happy face*). I guess the reason my strings haven't snapped on me while i do these crazy tunings is that they're extra slinky & worn

  • Great tutorial man
