I like your idea of a change in the monetary policy, but when we try to give value to objects that require large sums of capital such as real estate or business ventures time shares hit a road block just as bartering systems hit a road block w/ the division of labor. I think the best alternative currency model out there is a resource based economy that treats our natural resources as capital, very environmentally friendly & erases the coruption that is prevelant in our current Fiat Currency sys

Jct: Beautiful. And when you link to the Time Standard of Money, your community currency can be used elsewhere like mine. In 1999, I paid for 39/40 nights in Europe with an IOU for a night back in Canada worth 5 Hours.
