Hi. I downloaded, played till 3rd boss, now getting to bed but I'd like to say that so far it is good! My only gripe is the aircontrol, but then again, I do suck. :p

Awesome game! just finished it and it's the best 2D sonic game I've ever played!! played sonic CD and sonic&knuckles but man this takes the cake. all the credit to u man, I can definitively see u working as a game designer for sonic team one of these days =)

I do have 1 complaint in the water segments in Perilous Paradise though

- Tails Drowns too fast

- You move waaaay too slow underwater

- Air Bubbles troll you

- Water Cannon enemy trolls you (underwater)

- And all of that + a really tedious underwater segment makes the level incredibly difficult

Awesome game so far dude, love the style of all the levels and the music seems to fit in all of the levels. Even though my computer is crappy and slow, and it takes me a while to finish each zone, I still am enjoying this game.

Care to explain what those time points at the end are? :3 first time I played through this I got -50 or something, second time I played through I got 320 and the ending I had was different (not sure if those points have anything to do with the ending, just assuming)

i just forgot to put that on the manual... no one reads the manual anyway

I don't have a problem playing this game with the keyboard but is it possible to play with a usb gamepad?

i dont have a USB controller and i never tried it out anyway

@LakeFeperd yeah the keyboard controls are fine, I just downloaded the game and it is awesome. If you decide to make more games (whether they're sonic related or not) I will definitely play them!

@LakeFeperd I use an xbox controller for this, CTRL-Y allows you to change input. It works, except you still need to use the keyboard for the titlescreen/menu.

I'd assume a non-xinput controller could still get by, or otherwise set the CTRL-Y option to keyboard and abuse Joy2Key.

very pleased with this game so far. So far there have been times where I've dropped my jaw in amazement, almost crying manly tears because of sheer epicness. I love how this came out round the same time the Sonic CD re-release came out. It just adds so much story to sonic 1/2 even if it's not official. Just, thank you so much. I will make a video series of this once I get good enough at it..or maybe before if I can't stand the anticipation. Amazing work, really.

extract it using winRAR or winZIP

after instaling one of then just right click the file and click "extract to here", i think.

and just double click the "sonic before the sequel.exe" file in the Sonic before the sequel folder(that one with an icon that has sonic on it)

Finished it... took me 3 hours. Also because of massive slow-down.

I thought that within the time you had to change up the game, you could change the soundtrack a bit. Add more of Sonic ones too. This is Sonic. Still an epic game.
