well, to be fair about half the people who are occupying the civic center park today are homeless to begin with and there has always been homeless people living there for my entire life. There is only perhaps 20 more people than usual staying overnight which is not a significant increase.

Every protest here has gotten out of hand here in Denver and its because of the protesters. DNC for example I was there with my wife and children watching and some Fucking protestor throws a bottle at the cops that missed my wife by about 2 feet. Protesters show up with gas masks for Christ sake cause there real intentions are to start a riot. If they weren't they wouldn't show up with these items. Think about it. It's not all but a few bad apples that cause problems.

No, not excessive force. What i saw was a small group of police surrounded by an angry mob of people shouting and approaching them. The police have a right ot defend themselves and their job is to serve and protect. When there are riots, police have to be prepared for anything, thats why they are suited up. What I have been seeing in these posts is very disappointing. At first I understood these protests and what they were fighting for. Being a teacher its very upsetting that they cut funding but allowed a tax cut for millionaires. But now I cant agree with the mood of these protests. When did it shift to hating cops? DNC for example I was there with my wife and children watching and some Fucking protestor throws a bottle at the cops that missed my wife by about 2 feet. Start examining any industry who soaks up government contracts and question what good it does for you? For your family? For your community? Soaking up government contracts? I can't doubt that everyone among us has thought of the military contractors who build weapons, heavy fleet, boots, etc. If the profits of few far exceed the progression of job development for the many, it's something to be concerned about. Prisons are a HUGE industry in this country and their business brings in all shades of contracts. They should be concerned that the "whole world's watching", instead of trumpeting it like a bunch of barn animals out of Orwell's "Animal Farm". People can see how they are conducting themselves and it lends validity to the police response. What I have been seeing in these posts is very disappointing. At first I understood these protests and what they were fighting for. Being a teacher its very upsetting that they cut funding but allowed a tax cut for millionaires. But now I cant agree with the mood of these protests. When did it shift to hating cops? Cops like my husband who risks his life on a daily basis. Who is not ego driven and all.together a great guy. And when he is at home hes a dad to two small kids.
