Dave is in perfect key and the band is as tight as ever. Anyone who has a musical ear can pick out the harmonies through the obvious excited, loud and off key audience. Any video of Strawbs is better than no video. This video, no matter how poor the quality is, captures an otherwise lost moment in time.
it's 2009 man! they're lucky to be able to do anything .when you get on in years everything is an effort.youth is squandered on the young.i'm 49 i find it hard to get up of the sofa.(although i do have a slightly displaced hip).
Sadly these type of videos are unable to do justice to the bands playing.Out of tune sing-along audiences sometimes encouraged by the band because they don't know they are being video-d.Unfortunately,this draws sour comments.
No, Dave cousins is doing lower harmony. You can barely hear him, but he is on for the most part. There are many other loud off people singing, The Strawbs are still excellent.
Err...that one man is Dave Cousins! Not sure how happy Dave would be if he thought everybody else thought he was "one man singing out of tune!" It is difficult to film when so close, especially when trying to enjoy the concert at the same time. I suppose it's different if you film an event as a priority, but here the filming was definately a "bonus". First priority ws to view the concert with my own eyes. Glad you still enjoyed the track though, and that's the main thing. :-))
Who filmed this??? You barely get a shot of any of them, just one man who disapears into the ground at regular intervals, and I think he's the one who's out of tune...no offence BlueAndWhiteZebra, and thank you so much for posting this video. Please do some more goodies of the past!

I agree. Its a parody of their early video. Its different with the bands that stay and practise together. It's a shame to see them like this.

Dave Cousins is not out of tune. It's the people in the audience!

I prefer their electric tours to their accoustic.
