@bskingkong Ummm...no how did we get to Jake Long? Noone said anything about Long. If he is projected as a NT he will be a bust. Ireland said Starks will play NT and Odrick will play DE. Time will tell, but the tape doesn't lie. He didn't pass the eye test.

I go to Penn State, this was the guy we talked about all season, he is a monster, a complete beast... He's pushed ever guard, tackle and center out of the way... to drop down to the 28th pick, receive more picks, and grab odrick is a huge win for MIAMI

Huge Miami fan here, excited about this guy. He seems like he is genuinely ecstatic about being a Dolphin, which any Miami fan will tell you, goes a LONG WAY, in terms of staying around, being loved/hated by our fans, and keeping Parcells happy in that skybox every Sunday. He's tough too. He's a solid 6'5, 308, now increasing our 300 pounder list to a staggering 18. Henne is gonna have a lot of time in the pocket, and whichever saps we're playing ain't!

@ommytay863 Miami still has four picks in the next three rounds of what is considered the deepest draft in recent memory. Still a bunch of LB's and DT's to go around. This guy just completed our depth at end. Merling hasn't exactly proven himself yet and Parcells loves to rotate those guys out to keep him fresh. It was a safe pick but a useful one. Have faith, keep your fingers crossed for Kindle to fall.

Ginn was just a bit average but you have to remember that 100 yard and 101 yard return last season against the Jets

aaaactually... KR weren't a really good display of consistency... but despite that, he didn't even hit over 40 receptions this season... that's pitiful... actually... Greg Caramillo and Davone Bess caught way more passes than he did. Davone Bess alone caught 71, he was our #2 receiver and Ginn caught barely over half as many passes as Bess did... on the other hand, Brandon Marshall caught 101 this past season.

@MrFly117 nah i def agree with you, Earl Thomas was my favorite pick to begin with, but it went the way it went, at least we can still pick up Sergio Kindle in the next round =D

and just some stats on Jared Odrick... 2009 Big 10 Defensive Lineman & Defensive Player of the Year, as well as 2009 First Team All-American... not bad at all if you ask me. he's solid, and that's what we need; CONSISTENCY! not Ginn, personally i think we're coming off winners, i can't ask for more right now.

@eb0nikz THATS MY POINT!!! If he gets dominated by good players then whats point of drafting him in the first round?  Their is plenty of Jake Longs' and Balugas' in the NFL. Plus how do you compare a guy that hasn't played a snap in the NFL to someone like Jake Long?

@MrFly117 i know about all our good moves with marshal and dansby but this pick makes no since to me with the people on the board in a few years from now we will all be saying well that was a mistake and be trading him away for a 6 round pick.tim dobbins was a special teams player wasnt he dont expect him to play much ireland already said he is for the back end of the roster.
