@illusionreality420 You know, I adore Tori and think that, for a time, I was one of those "mega fans," though in a more introverted fashion that some folks I "met" online and IRL. I found that I had to get away from some of the more crazed fans and even the ones who get "bitter" that she changes so often. So, in short: I agree but I also find that her fans' passion is fascinating and still hold quite a bit of passion for her myself. Guess all stars have nutty fans! ;)
"Je m'appelle Tori Amos..." Oui nous vous connaissons, merci, mais vous devez commencer à chanter en français aussi, Tori! Il est assez facile pour une anglophone; il n'est que la prononciation et l'orthographie qui sont étranges. :)
@winter5alex I thought it was cocaine to... and then I thought it was cold came. But one day I was just looking through "The Beekeeper" sheet music and was playing Parasol and found out that way :D.
nah, there's more 2 it than that. I love White Chalk, but loved earlier PJ Harvey albumns like Rid of Me that were VASTLY different...I just don't like the beekeeper, (this performance of Parasol is way better than the albumn version, I'll grant that) but just because poppy, wanna-be-sexy, flowery-flowy, over-produced, overly-prettied up, too much band, melodic stuff is "not the same" as her other albumns, that doesn't make it growth, or even equal...just seems kind of more blah than new, to me
Many are critics against The Beekeeper, they call it boring. I love that album and that peculiar 'era' in Tori's music. Maybe it was for her dresses, the colours she used, or for the cover of Jim Croce's song, but I think that she was largely ignored by the 70s in that album. In fact, there was a lot of epical, revolutionary and anti-war content in her songs. Really, that album derves to be rediscovered!!!
I love Tori vids on YouTube largely because the comments are so nice! Lots of thumbs-up, no quarreling. Reminds of of when the fan community was smaller and everyone helped each other out. You guys are re-restoring my faith in people! Thanks :D
Great version of this song!

Still one of my favorites from this album. It's striking and painful in such an understated way.
