Finally a Vader without beer stomach and high heeled shoes.

I'd love to have a Darth Vader Costume myself. Unfortunately i'm only 6'00 (1,83m) and i think you have to be at least 6'3 (1,90m) to be a proper Darth Vader. My friends are all about 1,80-198 meters tall so it would look stupid if i would make a Vader costume.

vader suits generally dont look right on ppl. Their body builds dont look it.the armor parts are missmatched and so on from the different episode versions. I have a skinny build i couldnt possibly do vader.I think it is spot on with empire strikes back! Its much better looking than supreme edition. identical armors on ebay for the neck and shoulders painted and molded are anywhere from 250 to 500. Looking that good is costly if you cant diy T_T

The shoulder bells are gun metal (not silver... or siler as you put it) with the embossed black "strips" that you refer to. Bascially, the shoulder bells are accurate.

i'm in the 501st legion Georgia garrison Darth Revan 5534, i kicked vader's ass last dragoncon down here, we are good friends but we just wanted to put on a show for some little kids so we had an all out duel, it was great, i got a double bladed saber just like Maul's saber...anyway the Vader suits run you all the way up into the 3 grand mark, if you want one that's not so expensive you can buy them for about 600 dollars, best place to look is on the 501st sites blog, or ebay...

Some of you are complaining about the height problem and you need to understand the only reason Vader was so tal is bwcause his legs were built that way after he lost them Anakin was only between 5'10'' and 6'. His legs were built to make him taller and more imposing. As far as thickness if you watch the original movies David Prowse was chosen for his girth because Vader had several cybernetic life supports systems installed on his body that made him look very large. So stop nitpicking!!!

Well I saw a complaint from someone who based their idea of Vader and who can dress as him on the original star wars movies and i was reminding them that david prowse was nearly 6'5'' because George Lucas wanted a physically imposing and menacing figure for Darth and because according to the original story Darth was a bit taller because of his artificial limbs and cybernetic implants required to keep him alive. They were saying that nobody smaller than the Original darth should dress as him.

and i was simply stating his heights have varied throughout the movies and you dont really need to be tall to be a good vader impersonator you just have to have his command presence and bearing and have fun with it to entertain people and they usually will not care about your height. besides in the movies they way they were shot he doesnt look as terriblyt tall as he actually was.

Precious this is!!! What an absolutely brilliant perfomance from this guy, just made me bigtimelaugh when Darth Vader started the Bruce Lee moves.

And the boy fighting him with the lightsaber, what a memory to leave with. I fought Darth Vader and live to tell the story, although he looked a bit timid at first.

Seems like a pretty cool guy in the costume. I've seen some true crap heads at events who truly thought they were Darth. They tend to lose focus you're there to socialize with the fans and not cater to your ego. Good job!

True that! I also do Darth Vader appearances. Best Buy hired me to come in the morning of the Secret Apprentice release and be vintage Vader i.e. look at things then toss them on the floor and deliberately ignore people while looking right at them. I told them I wouldnt do that that I was gonna play with the kids and let the people take pictures with me. And in reality I am a short Vader at 69 inches maybe 70 with the boots but the people didnt care they were having fun.

It is ego boost enough for me when people enjoy me being ther and having fun it is a dream come true for a lot of kids to meet Darth Vader. And whether you look exactly like the movie guy doesnt matter because people are having a lot of fun and everyone deep down loves Star Wars no matter their age. Star Wars is a household name it is good clean wholesome fun not like the crap that some people are into and it challenges the imagination.
