Yeah the movie is not accepted worldwide, but still yaar there are thousands of good movies who have not been accepted. The film definately doesn't lack depth. and bollywood films are definately now becoming more authentic and convincing. One can't make a perfect movie which will include every aspect and be all around perfect. A film has to concentrate on a particular genre which is the reason the typical punjabi is shown......

Amir's chanting 'bruuuuuuuuua' and 'chak de phatte' or some other slang every 10 seconds is annoying and completely unauthentic to Punjabiyat. His accent is neither Hindi nor Punjabi, some strange conglomerate. For a Punjabi, his acting is so off tune with real Punjabis. The acting was weird. I would think they would have someone from the region guiding him to give more weight to his character.

The movie itself wasn't bad, but not as good as it was hyped up to be.

The whole point of the movie is not to show what does Punajbi or punjabiat mean. Its to show somekind of social problem existing in my country, and this movie has crossed all the boundaris and proved very strong. I am quite sure foreign people, (though with some Indian Gene) can never appreciate, as it doesnt have some Masala in it...
