  • The perfect friday night enertainment, when you´re tired, and nothing is on the oldschool tube :)

This puts a smile on my face, and hats off to you, for having a go at this.

I really like the approach you have. It gives hope to a John Doe like me, who dreams of taking something like this on.

    "what are these bricks for?"

"these are my insuranse bricks" - LOL

  • tip: sucking out petrol !! no !! get the tube, shove it in.then try n pack round it with a cloth to get a semi seal....then blow a full lungfull of air up the pipe !! yes blow !!! it pressurises the tank enough to squirt the petrol out the tube n start the flow going !! all my own idea !!!! i so rock

  • Let's hope my buckets big enough, A!

  • you're not supposed to actually inhale when you siphon a car! you just use your mouth, keep the air in your mouth

  • Free advice for your next ev if you make one... if the donor car is EFI, disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail and pump your tank empty. ;)

  • haha.. your a legend dude! this s wicked! more more more.. lol

  • i just wanted to say that this is the best darn intro disciption i ever herd!

It's a convertible. It was cheap.

It has four seats, and a musty smell.

And he's past the point of no return.

Join a totally non-mechanically-minded newbie on his quest to build an electric car that doesn't look like it fell out of a cornflakes box.

  • FYI Cut a fuel line, short circuit the fuel pump fuse and just let the tank drain.

  • DC series wound. AC is

    1/ Too expensive

    2/ Too complicated.

3/ Apparently not as much torque for current as DC.

Sure, you can do regenerative braking on an AC system (about a 10% energy saving), but I'm a newbie here...

  • Fair enough.

Well I look forward to seeing how it all goes. :)

  • Aha!! You have in fact spotted a symptom of the extreme speed used to throw together these videos - yes, it was meant to be FYI. I'm not laboring too much of these vids - (about 5 hrs per edit, graphics and mix) coz I'm meant to be spending my time BUILDING THE CAR!!! Having said that, ep 3 is on the way....thanks for taking an interest in the project.

  • are u using a DC motor, or a nice AC one?

  • that FIY..... should that be "FYI" as in "for your information" ?

  • Hum... or it's engrish. :D
