It just so happens that I HAVE paid to see Dave do stand-up, and it makes you sound slightly retarded to suggest that my watching him on Craptube would somehow prevent me from doing so, as if I have to choose one or the other.
This sort of uber-shitty web video is a perfect example of why comics HATE to be filmed while they're working out new material at a club. It's out of context, looks & sounds like shit, and is distracting to the comic.

He hit too close to home for their liking.
Think of comidians as modern day jesters, and you'll see what I mean.
The jester could get away with telling the truth without the king chopping his head off.

That sounded like reactionary laughter from the gut, not nervous laughter. Audiences are pretty honest about their reactions to comedians. That's why being one can be hellish if you're not hitting the right notes with an audience.
You should speak for yourself as you weren't even there.

That's actually what Dave said was his reason for taking a break from comedy. His racial jokes were enforcing the tensions and stereotypes, not relieving them as he had hoped.
But you can't blame people for laughing...he is a comedian, after all, not a high school motivational speaker.

Perhaps is because its the face he was born with. I get that his tone of voice is great for comedic effect but it sucks to have all this great jokes and stories and people are laughing just because you are greeting them. It wasn't like this before, its because people are always thinking of Tyrone Biggums and Rick James when they see him and its sad. I think one day he will just quit comedy altogether.
