out of production Bachmann DDA40X Spectrum, I paid about $65 each some five or six years ago, converted to DCC last year, each of the three alone can pull as many cars as the couplers can handle.

they do pop up on ebay from time to time, just make sure they are the Spectrum version.

How ever you decide to run them is fine with me, I love DD's

but, it would have to be one of the

"fast forties"! The DDA40X was geared for high speed running (90+mph) and only a few of the SD40's were regeared to run with the double dees.

If you want to make it more realistic, run 2 DDA40Xs with an SD40 :)
