Truman's decision to drop Fat Man and Little Boy was justified in that it would save the lives of many of the American Soldiers who would have died if they had tried a land invasion. Additionally a great deal more Japanese would have died in this invasion than died to the atomic explosions. The atomic bomb was the quickest way to end the war with minimal casualties. Yes, I'm saying Hiroshima and Nagasaki were and are preferred to the alternative.

Dropping the bomb was not technically a war crime. This video has nothing to do with using history as a measure of right and wrong, it is a reply to a video condemning America for it's role in ww2 and the use of the bomb.

War crimes are atrocities specifically targeting non-combatants, or the use of illegal weapons of war. Atomic weapons were not and are not illegal weapons of war, we did not specifically target civilians. We targeted war industries, even today they are valid targets.
