  • Is pros aid similar to Mod Podge?

  • @2DayWithPatrickJ Mod Podge is more of a crafting glue, you can mix it with acrylic to make a flexible paint. Pro Aid is a medical adhesive, designed for applying on the skin and very flexible as well.

  • @efxfreak Thank you for the help :) Where do you buy Pro Aid?

  • @2DayWithPatrickJ You can purchase it from Nigel's Beauty Emporium or Smooth-On. Do a Google search and you'll find them.

  • Talk more on Pros Aid

  • @2DayWithPatrickJ We'll be talking more about pros aid in our upcoming appliance vid, what questions do you have and I can get you there quicker. :)

  • That Cabbosil is some nasty stuff. Why does it have to be ground glass, and not something else?

  • @jeremiahjw I really don't think it's literally ground glass, just what they describe it as. It widely used in many applications and industry's. When you order it the company selling it to you should provide an MSDN sheet.

  • @efxfreak Cabbosil is a silica like glass but it's structure is more like aerogel. Crystiline silica like glass are required to be below 80 mg/m^3 in the workplace. Cabbosil is amorphous so unlike glass it doesn't make sharp structures and doesn't have a legal upper limit.

Don't intentionally inhale the stuff, but so long as you aren't coughing up blood you're probably fine.

MSDS on Cabbosil for the lazy

    smooth-on(dot)com/msds/files/Cab-o-sil.pdf

  • @PBnFlash You are very correct. Smooth-on is a wonderful source for the MSDN sheets on most of the materials we use. Although we don't purchase cabosil from smooth-on, this will be a very helpful link for others. Thank you.

  • oh i was gonna ask if the Cabbosil, the thing you need the respirator for, is powdered glass, why is it ok to put it on your skin?

  • @mathwizperson It's hazardous to breath, but very safe as an application.

  • hi

  • Whats with the Machinima Network thing?

  • @mathwizperson We just got partnered by Machinima and was asked to advertise their banner. We're very happy to be apart of their network!
