@THE6PLAYER9 The National Guard is reserves but they do offer active duty and thats what i"m doing and my recruiter said most likely i will get deployed out of the country because i"m doing military Police but then again i could stay in california and if you do join and you do reserves you will be most likely stationed in california but whatever job you do you could get deployed any minute

@kong9111 First and foremost the National Guard is a branch of the Army, never forget that... as a branch of the Army you stand ready to, and I quote "deploy engage and DESTROY the enemies of the united states of America" but they differ because if there is a natural disaster at home you may get sent to help there, which is the best feeling ever... when you deploy you are sent to kill (which the guard DOES deploy into warzones) but when your missions is saving lives, its so much more honorable.
@thexvenomousxbite In total agreement :) The men and women that join the Guard are amazing people that deserve the highest respect anyone can give them. Maybe I am biased since I have a brother that deploys in 3 days but I know that he is stronger than any man I have ever known and he is only 20. He is a volunteer firefighter and licensed EMT. He stepped in and has helped me with my son since his father left when he was born. Truly an all American Hero in my book. Guard is a great choice :)
