@ZespolGaweda Where I live (Canada), I pay $7 for OWN since I chose to hv basic cable ($30) and OWN = $37. I don't care to hv 500+ channels of oldies/scripted "reality" TV programs that insult my intelligent. I live life to its fullest: too much to see, do and experience. Two cups of coffees at $2 ea is $28 a day and $1460 a yr. Never mind chocolate bars/bottled water/junk meals, etc., that people waste every single day (do the math). I call it "how to I make other people rich" money.
PEOPLE WHO MAKE AROUND 3.500.000 TO 6.000.000 DOLLARS PER YEAR CAN AFFORD TO SPEND 300 $ PER TICKET, JUST TO HAVE A GOOD TIME - BUT MAJORITY OF THE POPULATION IS NOT MAKING MILLIONS PER YAER. TODAY THE MIDDLE CLASS IS NOT ANYMORE A MIDDLE CLASS, MOST OF THEM LOST THEIR JOBS, HOMES, THEY DISCONNECTED THEIR TV's. A LOT OF PEOPLE USE THE INTERNET TO WATCH VIDEOS, MOVIES AND TV SHOWS - ONE OF THEM IS HULU, PBS, HISTORY CHANNEL, AND FEW MORE.
@ZespolGaweda I suggest you go to NYC to see it for yourself, then. Or check the ticket prices online. People pay as much as that for sports as well. Also Google American sales for Black Friday, Boxing day, and how many millions of dollars were made at the movies last week. Check "Mission Impossible" just for this weekend. Check also the donations given this year. I'd like to send you links, but YouTube doesn't seem to allow.
@ZespolGaweda I don't make millions of dollars, but I've seen several Broadway shows, my vacations are mostly in Europe, South America and Asia. I don't hv debts and I pay cash for most things, including my car (I buy 1 every 10+ yr; it's a mean of transportation & not status to me). I think the majority of Americans will benefit from Suzy Orman's money show in Jan. Her LifeClasses are priceless (people saved 100s/1000s of $ they'd hv spent on Life Coaches/ shrinks. I'm not into retail theraphy.
OWN TV - MEANS YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT, IN ORDER TO WATCH - HMMM, NO SO GREAT MOVE OF OPRAH WINFREY DURING A HARD/TOUGH ECONOMIC TIMES - MILLIONS OF PEOPLE LOST THEIR INCOME/JOBS AND BERELY CAN FEED THEIR OWN FAMILIES. THIS IDEA WAS GREAT BEFORE A GREAT DEPRESSION, BUT NOT NOW - SO PLEASE DON'T EXPECT TOO MUCH OF IT TILL THE ECONOMY IMPROVES.
@ZespolGaweda You are already paying a looooot more if you have a cell and buy coffee every day. There's no " great depression"...if there was one, people wouldn't be so rotund and the malls would be empty...and movies would not be making the millions of dollars as they do every week (not counting the money people spend on movie rentals). Broadway tickets cost between $100 and $300...shows are sold out. I pay not even $7 for OWN, which is less than 2 cups of coffee at Starbucks.
Proud of u oprah! Great work 4 our world ! Thanks!

PS. Personally I don't like the financial advices from Suze Orman/BIG EGO/MONEY AND FAME HUNGRY BEING.
The one who is VERY REAL is currently working for CNN - his name is CLARK HOWARD TOP FINANCIAL EXPERT, in addition HE IS FUN TO LISTEN.

Great commercial. Question? Why is some of the programming so dark and scary right now. Where did Gayle go?
