  • You ruled that show, man. And the respect you showed to the game, admirable! Warmest greetings from Sweden.

  • Just watched it, you would make a great caveman!

  • I knew that was you!!! lol now i know for sure

  • I really enjoyed the shows. It was inherently obvious who had the best skill set of everyone there. Kudos! You made it!

  • Also, I've been doing so much research on trees to use for staves. You seemed to just find a good Osage in the woods, did you know the characteristics of an Osage off the top of your head? Or did you select that tree before? Im having trouble finding a good tree in northeast PA

  • hey, your lucky to have met that hot chick who was like a model or something. she dropped out of the show early, but she was HOT!

  • youre awesome great vids

  • Two disappointments about the show, firstly that you didn’t do the alpha male routine and bring home the meat all by yourself … with a bow and arrow, secondly that the show didn’t last longer ….say a month.

Anyway, thanks for your YouTube videos, very educational and entertaining.

  • I, Caveman was awesome. I've been enjoying working on making primitive bows, and arrows as you have instructed. Just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for sharing all this information with us. Best wishes, and I look forward to your future programs.

  • i too really enjoyed the show n ps i remember at one point everybody complaining how there was now water when they had about a thousand birch trees behind them i mean the sap that comes from them is water with a sweet flavor

  • I enjoyed this show, but as usual, the wrong group of people were selected. It was just like most jobs were 50% or less of the people do 100% of the work. I couldn't believe how those guys just lazed around while the others busted their butts. Good job on your behalf Berger.

  • Ten years ago, PBS did a mini series called "Frontier House." A group of people had to live like Montana settlers in 1890. They did this for six months. It would be interesting if you and others were able to take on a challenge like that. Ten days doesn't quite make the point.

You definitely were a rock for the group.

  • Saw the shows, Billy - they were awesome! Too bad you couldn't use one of your hand-crafted bows, but I guess that would have made it way to easy (or maybe that wasn't 20,000 years ago). I also appreciated the solemnity of the moment when you guys got the elk. For those of us who have never thought about it, it puts a new perspective on how our ancestors respected the bounty that nature laid out before them: Take what you need, leave the rest, be thankful.

  • Congrats on the Elk!!!! Amazing show. I feel after watching both episodes that you helped out tremendously in the success of the group.

  • Congrats Billy, sounds like an adventure to me my friend lol

  • Great job. You WERE the show. You need your own show dude!!! You are the new survival master!

  • Way to go Billy!

Been following your channel for quite a while. Really glad you managed to get into a program. Didn't watch yet, but I'm already sure you've injected it with some quality know-how =)

  • And now that I watched it - nicely done =)

Good job! Especially with the handdrill and knapping. A bummer the final cut doesn't show actual processes in-length.

Question - about the taken down elk - on the show it looks like you left the head and a lot of the carcass after quartering. Did you go back for it? Also - did you gather any edible roots and tubers? They're supposed to be a major dietary component, and might've had you all going a lot better from the start, right?

  • Is there somewhere on the web on can watch it?

  • @AwakenedBuddhist Type "watch curiosity caveman" on google then scroll down and click on sidereel it should be the third one, It's a legit site where u watch free shows.

  • I found the show on the sci channel. Taking down the elk with an atlatl was cool. I wish Discovery would take 5 guys and 5 girls that have studied the primitive ways(hunting, wild edibles, etc) extensively and remake the show over a period of 6 weeks or more. I bet some people wouldn't want to come back to society after a true taste of tribal living.

  • Honestly I thought you could have done more on the show. There was so much primative survival skills left out.

  • your awesome, i just saw you kill a elk with an atlatl, i cant even kill a deer with a recurve, you got skill man

  • please make a primitive Bow part 4

  • Will you get naked ?

  • i've only seen short segments of this show, is billy the only one with actual primitive survival skills?

  • youre awesome dude..you should have your OWN show!

  • i watched that show... you did great!

  • I saw this program yesterday, awesome.

  • Awsome Show, i dont thing they would have made it without you!

  • Without you they would have failed hardcore.

  • heh, watched the show last night before I knew you were in there. I thought.. gee how did he sneak on there? They have a ringer.

  • Awesome show! Maybe they'll get you on another show where you can show off your Bowyer skills. Awesome job to all.

  • Billy I watched both shows (part 1 & 2) last night. THANKS for sharing I really enjoyed them and you did great btw.

  • I've enjoyed the show. I would loved a shot to do something like this.

  • Just wanted to say Amy was a BABY glad I did not have to hear her the whole show.

  • Billy, The shows were excellent, I saw your flint knapping skills came in handy as did your fire making and "the next fire" concept. Nice work, I would like to see more of these type shows. It was nice meeting you at the Gathering, see you next Spring!

  • Anyone taping these? We don't have satellite or cable...etc... Please post these episodes if you're taping them for those who aren't able to catch it on television. Thanks!!

  • Great job on the show. It seems like you took a definite leadership role by both doing a lot of work and keeping morale up. The emotions of taking an animals life were re-awakened within me when the elk was taken. Fine work!

  • great show man!!!

  • Very good show! Interesting to see the dynamics of the group, with the workers, and the freeloaders.. Nothing changes ;-) Great job Sir.

  • Loved the show! I've read your articles in primitive archer for years now it seems, last weekend got to see you at the pathfinder gathering, now on tv! Love your work keep it coming

  • Billy, you don't know me, but I watch and enjoy all of your videos. I'm watching the premier of your show right now and it's awesome! You're an expert among novices on that show...did you end up kind of taking charge and showing them how its done?

  • I'm watching it now man!

  • ConGrats. rooting for ya

  • AWESOME BILLY!

I have been meaning to call you but am in the process of moving. So I keep forgetting!

    -James Thomas

  • Will there be any way to watch this if you dont get the disco. Channel?

  • I won't be able to watch it, but that's great. Sounds like a cool show.

  • Nothing like this has ever been done before? Wrong. Search "Naked Into the Wilderness."

  • @JesusDillinger Um...actually you're wrong. I found the videos you're talking about. The people are wearing modern clothing, they don't actually hunt with primitive weapons, and they use much later stone tool technology than we do. And they don't accomplish what we do....trust me!!!

  • @primitivepathways I'm sure your program is good. i may watch it.

They use "much later stone tool technology?" So... you don't nap?

  • @JesusDillinger Wow you really have a problem not being an offensive ass hole, huh?

  • @hpfff Others have told me the same thing, so maybe you're right.

  • @JesusDillinger Not trying to be a dick but he's excited about this show and rightfully so, and you seem to want to belittle it. Just sayin man, don't be a hater =)

  • @hpfff You make a good point.

    I'll bet it's a very good show.
