  • the buddha himself is never a vegetarian. The buddha stated that if one does not see, hear, instruct or know that the kill of the being was for consumption. It is fine to accept offer of food from any1( it allows others to practise dana). Although now one should be encouraged to be a vegetarian as much as possible given the choices of food we have in todays era.
