these 03/04 cobra powerplants are tq monsters. my 04 vert makes 493rwtq sae at 2300 rpms and its just a simple 2.76 upper only car. instant tq at any point in the rev band. these are vastly fun to drive on the street and scare the hell out of people with that blower whine.
It sounds to me like he actually does have it in fourth. Maybe he does keep it in fourth, but after listening to it again, I'd have to say it's a genuine fourth gear run.
On most manual trans equipped cars, they do the dyno run in 4th gear, and most automatics run in 3rd gear. They do this because generally that's the gear that is a 1:1 ratio, therefore the driveshaft is turning at the same rate as the crank.

@darryloake Sorry guys, I posted this before I had any editing gear and the screen wasn't easy to get to from that side.
SAE was 458/453 and STD was a bit higher due to cold weather. Upper pulley only car with some bolts ons.

Yes they are the FRPP ones so not as wide in the rear as the replicas.
