@Atlantis1986 well yes, but my point is that there is no limit to how many people that can use the technology at once. However they DO use passive GPS trackers in rented cars. So when you return the car it knows if you have been driving over the speed limit, left the country and so on. A passive tracker does NOT send the data live like and active does... but heck it works

@Atlantis1986 not really. this is a broad-casted network. The satellite doesn't know who you are at all. The GPS module that you have to carry knows where you and and can in turn send that information through GPRS, 3D or via another satellite to a database.

Excuse me? What does this have to do with anything? GPS can and is used to track individuals. Google Onstar, & GPS tracking services. It is also used for prisoners who have been released but are on parole or probation or persons who have been placed under house arrest.

no, it can not be used to track you unless you are sending your position infomation by some means. the GPS/Galileo receiver alone can only receive the signal from the satellites and calculate your position.
