everyone in the nascar scene are all bandwagoners. like seriously, a guy wins a few races and the beginning of the season and are like excluding johnson out of the mix every single year. 2006 was an exception, 2007 was gordon, 2008 was kyle and 2009 was martin. now 2010 is either harvick or hamlin. so i guess we will see who holds their 5th trophy at the end of this year and that goes both for either jj or jeff.

im not, its a system that proves that you are the best. in the superbowl, you only have one chance to win the title a year. In reality, in nascar you have 10 chances to blow it or win it in the chase.

Atleast with the old system the championship was awarded to the best driver period of that year, not just a pretty good driver that was really good the last 10 races.

More entertaining? If someone else would win it would be. But it's not by any means better than the old system. It was the hardest way to win, and was the true testament to who had the most talent.

but when it would get to the end of the season, i would just not watch it under the old points system because their really wasnt any excitement because the points leader would be 600 or more points ahead at some points, and thats not entertaining to watch them go out and waste their equipment to gain ten points.

They're not wasting their equipment, they were trying to win races, and improve their positions. If all you're worried about is the points standing as a fan, then you can just check out the standings on Sunday Night.

I'd prefer to see a good race, and the best driver winning the championship, instead of just who's luckiest for a few races.
