The Eumenides are less interested in presenting their case than in insisting that they have the power to punish. They sound remarkably like Ray Comfort - except that they are more articulate.

But quite apart from that, the notion that Gods must plead before a Human court is a quantum leap ahead of where the Judaic god was (or is).

I love this play. First introduced to it my sophomore year in high school, it really holds a special place in my heart. So cool to see, thanks for posting :-)
