@shuffle953: It's the noisy camera shutter, adjusting for light. I didn't know there was any "clicking" till I watched the video later. Annoying, I know.
THANKS FOR THE VID! I was thinkn of the same thing when I came up with my idea. I wanted to be set up .. with lights.. in under 10 minutes, and only plugging in 2 power cords. Check out my vid and leave some feedback. Remember, it is a prototype.
where did you get the speaker connection setup? the one I am refering to is the one with the different speaker connections. Did you make it yourself, or is it store bought?
The Bose L1 system is an interesting idea, but would not meet my needs, and in my opinion is a bit over priced. It is a very good solution, however, for Wedding DJ's particularly, that have a lot of high priced events in small to medium venues, that want an exceptionally clean setup though :) The Bose L1 has got the market on clean and compact :)
ummm, what? The 9 pin cable connects to the relay pack. If I don't connect the 9 pin cable to the relay pack, I will not be able to control my lights. If you are talking about connecting audio to my light controller, I don't chase my effect lighting. For one, chasing effect lighting is silly, secondly, my lights are newer lights, and have a "boot" time, which makes chasing worthless, and third, because I hate Chauvet's chase patterns.
Thanks! You can buy a patch bay from Parts Express also, and put in any connectors you like. It's a lot of small things like this, put together that can make a big difference on overall setup time :)
I wired the two neutrik connectors on the panel, in parallel, so my subs are running parallel off the bridge channel. My subwoofer horns are 12 ohm cabs, so two of them in parallel present a 6 ohm load on the bridged channel. Don't ask me why my horn cabs are 12 ohms, that will take 4 pages to explain...LOL.
I love those elf ladders! i wind up all of my mic cables and connect each together, so i unwind what i need and put it back on at the end

This is really nice.. I think i might design a case for my set up now, but i might make it optional if i want the cables to run back or in front.

Made that myself. Got a project box from Radio Shack, and ordered the various connectors from Parts Express :) Glad you like it :)

By any chance would you be able to make a list of the links to the webpages where you got those parts?

really great design for a quick-connect panel!
just curious how you wired the 2 neutrik connections from the mono-block on your sub amp? Are both neutrik connections in series or parallel?
