Just to make myself clear, I was raised with Christianity, but I have my doubts about the legitimacy of some of the claims in the Bible. I would rather say that for the most part, the Bible is a guide to decent respectable living (largely characterized by the book of Proverbs). The Koran is very similar to the Bible in many ways and has much of the same good advice, but Islam is the only completely intolerant and violent religion on this earth. That doesn't give it good marks in my book.

They were trying to maintain order whereas you were trying to instigate an incident by challenging the religion that was being celebrated by the event you intruded upon. I'm surprised to see this happening in the United States, you normally don't repeat the mistakes we Europeans make. I'm a German national and I see the same behavior of Dearborn Muslims repeated in my hometown, there are even certain parts of my home city where you would be ill advised to go to if you stand out of the general appearance of the arabic population. Just to make myself clear, I was raised with Christianity, but I have my doubts about the legitimacy of some of the claims in the Bible. I would rather say that for the most part, the Bible is a guide to decent respectable living (largely characterized by the book of Proverbs). The Koran is very similar to the Bible in many ways and has much of the same good advice, but Islam is the only completely intolerant and violent religion on this earth. That doesn't give it good marks in my book.

The author of John describes a prophet as a spirit re:1john4:1-3. So the holy spirit os the Holy Prophet. This is a title of Muhammed. Periclytos(greek)=praised one(english)=muhammed(arabic).

I don't deny scripture as a whole but i deny the christian theology which picks and chooses scripture to support (poorly) it's theology. You can't even find mention of the Trinity in the Bible and yet its a core belief.

cont. I don't need backup. I head over to the CARM message boards (google it) because there's more topics of discussion in one place and believe it or not I don't like to be limited to one. I try to budget my time between YT and the other sites so I give that (including the fact that I like larger audience = greater productivity because it's more discussion, including those topics *gasp* Christians disagree on. I find it refreshing. Arguing what seems pointlessly here gets old

Christians disagree because of the contradictions and discrepancies in the scripture. If something is white how can two people disagree on its colour?

cont. Paul wrote half the Bible before the Gospels were written? Are you serious? The Bible has 66 books in it, only 27 of which are in the New Testament. The Pauline epistles make up less than 1/2 of the NT, 13 epistles. So would you care to back up your math?

I don't know if he has the time to read through all of the comments here, but try to contact him directly and suggest a debate with this sheikh. Chances are that he will accept it if you can set it up or if the sheikh is willing to do the debate on ABNSAT channel where David appears frequently.

I'm a muslim living in dearborn mi, i dont agree with the arrest while just standing there. BUT as much as i agree that there is freedom of religion there are many other places to have it. since u keep arguing that SHaria law is horrible why dont u stay away from it so u dont get offended. there r some muslims that will get defensive about it but its also wrong that they get aggressive. i think u should stop converting people to any other religion. Just enjoy life....u only live it once.

Wood, you were arrested for repeatedly violating police instructions. They were trying to maintain order whereas you were trying to instigate an incident by challenging the religion that was being celebrated by the event you intruded upon. You were obviously hoping for some kind of confrontation (as is obvious from the series of videos you made that day) trying and failing, thanks to the civility of the Muslims as exemplified by the young men that were interacting with your comrade.

This event didn't celebrate any particular religion. And while you may be OK with Islam getting a "no challenges allowed" status, that just doesn't fit the US laws. And neither did he violate any police instructions. This became very clear when the jury unanimously made the "not guilty" verdict on the trumped-up charges.

I'm surprised to see this happening in the United States, you normally don't repeat the mistakes we Europeans make. I'm a German national and I see the same behavior of Dearborn Muslims repeated in my hometown, there are even certain parts of my home city where you would be ill advised to go to if you stand out of the general appearance of the arabic population. Germany has had a long history of immigration but I can say that many Muslims don't integrate that well.
