  • @macksfischer I know, very, very sad. There's a memorial fansite I ended up finding though, BTW! Love this man. LOVE these musical numbers, especially!

  • @macksfischer I believe it was 1989 actually (might be wrong) and was already DXed with HIV/battling AIDS by the third Star Trek movie he did as Kirk's son, which is why they killed his character off. I may have the details off a bit on the Trek crap. Somewhere I heard he was supposed to basically BE "The Next Generation" instead of bold baldie & all, but was terminally ill so, well, we got old baldie & chicks hot for the uh, whatever the robot guy was. Far more weird. TOTALLY weird. Totally.

  • It is somewhat ironic that Merritt Butrick was gay. Notthattheresanythingwrongwiththat. That name used to crack me up.

I can't believe Doors drummer John Densmore appeared in this episode. I heard he wanted to get into acting. But this role was a glorified extra.

  • left out the best part..."Chunks and Franks are so neat to eat just pop em in your mouth, they can't be beat. Good taste from Snack Valley treats!"

  • Square pegs...mmmm.. top stuff..! I must be one of the few UK based fans who saw it when it was screened UK side, and love and remember it still!

  • Everything about this was just as I remember except the incredibly intrusive laugh track. Sure I thought I remembered a fake audience but man, dial it down x10!! I also understand they changed the opening/closing theme for the DVD. guess whoever owned the rights demanded too much money... or Sony didn't want to pay at all.

  • Had the series survived 2 or 3 seasons there might have been a soundtrack album-with this song,I'm Tired and The Weemawee School song plus The theme by the Waitresses-it would have been Bitchin

  • I soooo loved this show.I was in Jr. High when this came out:)

  • invest in apple computers! invest in apple computers!

  • My sisters were in high school at the time this show was on and so I was in tune with a lot of this early 80s teen stuff, even in 3rd grade. Loved Square Pegs, and Johnny Slash was my favorite character before I really knew what punk rock was--totally.

  • @Teetee33 Not punk rock. New Wave. Totally different head. Totally.

  • @susanoconnell777 Punk rock and new wave were one in the same back in those days--at least at first they were. Totally. :-)

  • I can't believe Johnny is wearing a B-52's T-shirt..that's amazing I love it!

  • I watched this only because I read that Densmore played a small role. This was sooooo terrible! Everything about it was so lame. The writing, the acting, the directing, everything. A high school class could have done better. Sorry to sound so negative, but really, it's bad.

  • I wonder why the girl in braces never made it big. She acted very well. Gertz did some stuff. Nelson did sme stuff. Sarah Jessica Parker was the only one that became a huge star. I don't think her acting was any better.

  • John Densmore on drums. I remember when this was on tv. I was like 12, and I was totally depressed when I saw that Densmore had stooped this low! Ouch.

  • Best band ever!!!!!!!!

  • the producer of this show called my father's cleaning co. to clean up everyday after shooting the scenes, for the day.. and we got too meet the actors and actresses. Jami Gertz, Sarah Jessica Parker, when they were teenagers, and my younger sibs got too be extras when DEVO was a guest.

  • Are you serious? That sounds awesome!!

  • yes, and the little mop bucket shown in the opening credits was my dad's they asked him if they could use it for a prop

  • That's really awesome, Mate!! Seriously great!!.

  • that definitely cool.

  • Mais ouais!!!!! square pegs! J'ai tres sommeil aussi!

  • I LOVED this show so much! Oh my gosh! I would get cranky when my boyfriend called while it was on. Good times!

  • The drummer in Slash's band is none other than John Densmore from the Doors. Loved this show and all it stood for. I never missed it when it aired. Thanks for posting.

  • I used to think this blond haired guy was so big and old and advanced. Now the more I look at his face the more I see Chad Michael Murray from One Tree Hill. By the way the HS pricipal guest starred on both Archie Bunker's place, and was Joan Van Arks villinous accomplice in "Time Bomb" on Wonder Woman season 3.

  • what happened to the chick w/the braces??!!

we know Sarah Parker is a NY ho!!!

  • That Johhny is HOTT!!!!!!

  • Thanks for watching!

  • Aw. R.I.P. Merritt Butrick (" Johnny 'Slash' Ulasewicz")

  • I didn't know he died! :(

  • In 1989, I believe. Yeah, sad. :(

  • He died of AIDS on St Patrick's Day, 1989.

  • Yeah, I just looked him up on Wikipedia. Sad.

  • that's tragic. i came here wanting to hear

"i'm tired" for a laugh, but didn;t expect to hear this. now, i just feel down...

  • Well, it is a downer but if it makes you feel any better I just looked at your page and really dig that song by Band of Horses. Never heard of them before.

  • Good episode. Man did that song suck, but Jessica in leotard was great. She was so hot back then, before she got too skinny.

  • Totally love it! Keep them coming!

  • Glad you enjoyed it!

  • You know, back in the day I used to think that adolescents were big and scary, even during the little league years, but now I realize they were just manipulative jerkoffs.

  • LOL--you ARE so right!!!!!!!

  • Elisabetta1971, the boys that grew up in one parent homes would spend long afternoons drinking beer and smoking weed with the "big guys". The others would listen to everything their parents would tell them like "say no to drugs". Then reach the adult world quicker than they thought, and these same square pegs dudes are the store managers in shitty jobs in the malls, while the old ladies that taught them in the school system go AWOL
