Those being
Military to protect that society in General.
Infrastructure such as roads, bridges as well as water and sanitation as individually it is very hard to construct and would cause needness duplication.
A court system to settle disputes
A police system to keep the peace

You can debate what "size" that military should take and that is fine. But for a country to exist it must be capable of defending itself.

@EESASTORM by the way hertz stands for cycle per second. and linear basically means 'at the same time' so in the case of sound a 7.1 96khz linear PCM means 7.1 channels simultaniously runs at 96 thousand cycles per second using a pulse coding. (think of it like a frame rate for sound)

Canada sucks. I went there and a bar fight happened and my friend had to get stiches because some idiot threw a beer bottle.
