  • The station buildings haven't changed much since I worked that line, but the platforms, trains and block signals sure have! Still

had APB semaphores on the NJ&NY then. And

    no long train sheds.

  • yo man nice shot, that pearl river shot, thats where i film, as a matter of fact i work at that resturant and i ralfan there every friday, you should have sent me a messgae, tell me next time you railfan there great vid 5 *****

  • the restaurant in the depot? the lady invited me inside, but I had to catch my train...... it sucked, I would have loved to look around in there....and added it to the video...

  • the resturant on the platform, and yea, shes really nice, shell ivinte u in

  • This is a preatty good video of the Pascask Valley Line. I love the CNJ's

  • What were you doing up there?

  • 'buffin.

  • Cool! How did you like Pearl River?

  • I was there for about 3.5 minutes, but during that time it was nice. Remember as I said at the end of the video, the entire video took less than 20 minutes start to finish to film....

  • What's weird is that the engine changed during that time. Usually it is the same when it turns around at Spring Valley.

  • thats just the point, the engines didn't change at Spring Valley, train 1621 meets 1628 at Nanuet Siding - check the timetable. If this was the same train turn back at SPV it would have taken more than 20 minutes and I would have ridden to Spring Valley or Nanuet in stead... The PVL is a fun ride, but a bit tedious if you ride a local both ways.... This was a nice little crappy day round trip - the last time I rode the entire PVL was the first day of the new weekend service a few years ago.

  • Oh OK. Yes, I have ridden the PVL myself. The weekend service started in late Oct. of 2007. Also, if you notice across the tracks at Pearl River, there is a wine factory. I think it is a bad place to be because drunks could get hit by a train. Good video, too!

  • well - there shouldn't be drunks at a factory - but I see your point - but also I've never heard of there being problems there either....

  • Yeah!
