I watched this 2 days after watching the pitiful "Science" by Ricky Gervais - Ricky you could learn a lot from these guys! They have something to say! And have actually written something, actually put some real effort into it!!!
Excellent show, Colin Quinn is funny, smart and truthful!
Saw it tonight and damn I guffawed genuinely hard throughout the show.....Colin's insight in to world history, both ancient and contemporary, and their seemingly scary relationship to each other, is nothing short of comedic genius......major props to Jerry Seinfeld's direction on this masterpiece.
Considering the short 11 week run through Jauary 8th, I wonder if this will eventually be available on dvd or as an hbo special....it should be......both!
Ive loved Colin Quinn since Tough Crowd. I've seen him perform stand-up a few times in Houston and once in New York. Everytime you see him he has new material that is edgy, smart, and most of all FUNNY.
So happy for Colin. I was hoping the show would come back bigger when the brief off Broadway stint ended. Hopefully this thing will be released on DVD and Lord knows I will shell out the dough to support one of the most underrated and misunderstood comics around. Colin, I feel like you've been self-sabotaging for a while, but there is no escaping the glory now man.
@TheTocaor he really is a self-saboteur,but i think a one man show is the best way to play the show business game he hates so much without compromising anything.and even as far as one man shows go,i heard him talk about how mad the production company or somebody was getting because he and Jerry refuse to lock in a script, as they keep re-writing and making it funnier. for some reason, the show growing funnier is a bad thing. "Lock it in like John Leguizamo. He's funny." show business sucks
Fuck "Faces of Meth"! Joan Rivers got 'em beat every time...
