Really? Almost all Western & some Armenian sources from the period had the entire Armenian population at around 1.5 million, and genocide propagandists themselves admit 1 million survived. Of the half-million or so who really died, the relatively few who were massacred were done in by independent forces, not the government. Most died from famine/disease, like most of the Turks who died.

No one knows for sure how many Armenians lived in the Ottoman Empire at the time. It varies between 1.2-2 million. Likewise, the number killed in the genocide also varies between 600,000 and 1.5 million.

Also, since you rely mostly on lobbied pseudo-intellectuals and Anti-Armenian rhetoric for your information, there is no reason for me to challenge what you said, because you think you're educated just because you treat the dictionary like the Bible or the Qur'an.

@Gunderson002 If the population was between 1.2-2 million, then you should have no problem with the midpoint, 1.5-1.6 million, the common consensus of the time, and of non-partisan educators today. Since genocide proponents agree 1 million Armenians survived, that means 1.5 million could not have possibly died. So is it not dishonest of you to consider this high end?

Also, just because it was 1.2-2 million doesn't that the midpoint is the most likely. Also, I have never said that 1.5 million died, period. The 1.5 million figure also includes Armenians who were driven out or forcibly assimilated, which outnumber those who were killed.
