@MrManiac62 I sold this amp quite some time ago. Old metallica tends to have lots of treble and gain am i right? This amp IS NOT suited for that kind of music. In all honestly nothing with lots of distortion sounds good. The cleans and mild gain sound fantastic but higher levels of gain just don't do so well. If you are looking for US quality for early Metallica check out some of Bugeras offerings. I currently have the 1990 and that would do better than this amp for early Metallica
This is the nomad 55. And yes i agree the recording sucks. The camera adds extra distortion and takes away from the tube tone. Its played through the stock speakers in the cab. I think they are mesa boogies. Its played on a schecter c-1 plus with a dimarzio xn2 on the bridge, and another dimarzio on the neck .i forget which.
This recording is done pretty bad, I think it does not represent the amp very well... Also I would like to know what amp this is! Nomad 45, 55 or 100? Speakers? Guitar?
Not quite, it can do the Ozzy/ Zac Wylde tone pretty well, but when it comes to doing heavy high gain stuff it poops out. To my understanding it was built to match with strat style single pickup maple guitars.
Can I play like really old metallica with it?:)
