First off, it doesn't matter if what you say might be true (It isn't.) because there's still a MUCH larger variety of Working hardware on PC then there is a Mac, and for something 2x better then what you could find on a mac (Graphics card.) you could pay half price and double your performance on PC.

Also, PC STILL has more working applications then Mac. So I still believe pc can do more on a PC, then they can on a mac. (There's already a prog for everything on PC.)

Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 both run 32 bit programs perfectly fine. You sir, don't know what you're talking about. Also, my computer (which came with windows XP media center, a 32 bit OS) runs windows server 2008 x64 PERFECTLY.

for people that just want the internet and decent video playback and a few smaller games here and there and for a few office tasks

theres windows 32bit

I have had 64 bit vista for about half a year now and out of all the programs I have had only one gave me install trouble.

Leopard is like a merging OS between 32 bit PPC power processors to it's new Intel processors using 64. It's an odd combo indeed. But Snow Leopard will be entirely 64 bit and will only be compatible with Intel processors. Apple gave us users the time needed to switch between the platforms in the case we want to upgrade to Snow Leopard.
