What a magnificent place my dad's home city has become since WWII!! He lived through the war, with my Oma, while my Opa traveled the seas in the navy. They lost everything, as their home was bombed. But thankfully, they were in a shelter. Dad (his name is Rudolf) now lives here in Australia, where the whole family, except his aunts came. I would love to take him back someday, but he is 72 and none of us have much money. Maybe I will win a trip one day haha. Beautiful, beautiful Hamburg!!! ♥ :)
i like some of the streets i've seen, narrow yet no cars to deal with, i'd like to think that includes delivery trucks too. It looks clean, no litter, but then don't they all. People usually watch what they photograph, where the people are when taking the pictures and of coarse the weather too. It can be mostly cloudy half the time but they'll find a day when the sun is shing to make the city/weather look more appealing. Great song to go along with this video! Germany is very old world!

Musicalstadt der Welt. Dazu die neue Hafencity, eines der größten Bauprojekte in Europa, Die berühmte Reeperbahn,Speicherstadt, Die Alster, Fischmarkt usw. und dazu fast 2 Mio einwohner. Thessaloniki hat nur 322.240. Hamburg ist eine weltweitbekannte Weltmetropole was Thessaloniki nicht ist.

I traveled around the world, but Hamburg is the city I fell in love so much that it creates butterflies in my stomach every time i am about to go there! The most friendly people of all ages, simplicity of transportation, loads of green area and water, sporty attitude of people...Dream city!
Ziemlich anstrengende Präsentation... die Bildmotive wiederholen sich ständig und die Auswahl an Motiven ist trotz 10 Minuten Länge sehr, sehr, sehr knapp! Dazu gibt es 10 Minuten lang wiederholt dasselbe Lied auf die Ohren, und es hat mit Hamburg oder Heimatliebe noch nicht mal irgendetwas zu tun!
Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass die vielen positiven Bewertungen hier für das "Video" bestimmt waren, sondern nur für die Stadt Hamburg.
Böse Zungen behaupten ja, das schönste an Bremen sei die Autobahn nach Hamburg. Leider hat Hamburg viel von seinem charme eingebüßt und wird immer mehr zur Geldmetropole. Die Schönheit werden in Zukunft wohl nur noch die Pfeffersäcke genießen können. Sozialer Wohnungsbau findet nicht statt und der Nahverkehr ist eine Katastrophe. Dennoch ist es eine schöne Stadt, wenn man bedenkt wie groß sie ist und das sie so stark bombadiert wurde.

My grandfather lived in one of those quarters which had been atomized in hamburg. I'm glad i never saw what he had to see as a child.

I know that those children and others didn't deserve it, I am not a dumb fanatic. Good people always get the worst when others fight, that is a sad reality, i don't wish anything like that to happen to anybody. But at least an arrogance of one nation was lowered.
Ich will München oder Berlin nicht unterschätzen, aber Hamburg ist tatsächlich die schönste Stadt Deutschlands. Als ich das erste Mal nach Hamburg gefahren bin, habe ich schon im Zug gespürt, dass ich diese Stadt lieben werde, und wenn ich mit meinem Studium fertig bin, möchte ich wahnsinnig gerne in Hamburg wohnen. n1 is Naples, italy (highest unesco sites density in the world ). the entire city centre is unesco world heritage+pompeii-herculaneum archeological site, real palace of caserta,amalfi coast,dome of benevento (santa sofia), certosa di padula and temple of pestum. the bay of napes has capri,ischia,sorrento,vesuvio etc etc etc...no place in the world like naples.

Ich musste lächeln als ich das gelesen hab. Ich war in München und es war der Horror. Irgendwann habe ich in einen Supermarkt ein paar Holsten aufgestöbert, habe mich damit vor den Hofbräu gesetzt und laut "Ick have mol in Hamburg een Veermaster sehn" gesungen ;) In den Bergen fühlt man sich total gefangen, wenn man die Freiheit des Meeres gewohnt ist. Wer Hamburg einmal liebt, der liebt es für immer. Man kann schwer erklären warum, dass ist einfach eine tiefe Liebe...

Ich mag das Wetter in Südbayern und ich mag das Bier (und viele andere auch!). So ist das mit der Liebe. Es wäre ja schlimm, wenn jeder in HH wohnen wollen würde, oder jeder in M. Nicht wahr?

It's a beautiful city but I would't go as far as to say the most beautiful city. The Gothic style architecture is an opinion that is not flattering in most countries, especially in the middle east and most parts if not all of Latin America. Plus the stigma that ww2 holds in most of USA minds and the crap that they feed us , oh well!

Ziemlich anstrengende Präsentation... die Bildmotive wiederholen sich ständig und die Auswahl an Motiven ist trotz 10 Minuten Länge sehr, sehr, sehr knapp! Dazu gibt es 10 Minuten lang wiederholt dasselbe Lied auf die Ohren, und es hat mit Hamburg oder Heimatliebe noch nicht mal irgendetwas zu tun!
Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass die vielen positiven Bewertungen hier für das "Video" bestimmt waren, sondern nur für die Stadt Hamburg.

Böse Zungen behaupten ja, das schönste an Bremen sei die Autobahn nach Hamburg. Leider hat Hamburg viel von seinem charme eingebüßt und wird immer mehr zur Geldmetropole. Die Schönheit werden in Zukunft wohl nur noch die Pfeffersäcke genießen können. Sozialer Wohnungsbau findet nicht statt und der Nahverkehr ist eine Katastrophe. Dennoch ist es eine schöne Stadt, wenn man bedenkt wie groß sie ist und das sie so stark bombadiert wurde.

no one on earth deserves to be bombed. It may have been a nessecety but it wasn't well deserved for children and women and old people who mostly suffered from bombings. My grandfather lived in one of those quarters which had been atomized in hamburg. I'm glad i never saw what he had to see as a child.

I know that those children and others didn't deserve it, I am not a dumb fanatic. Good people always get the worst when others fight, that is a sad reality, i don't wish anything like that to happen to anybody. But at least an arrogance of one nation was lowered.

Ich will München oder Berlin nicht unterschätzen, aber Hamburg ist tatsächlich die schönste Stadt Deutschlands. Als ich das erste Mal nach Hamburg gefahren bin, habe ich schon im Zug gespürt, dass ich diese Stadt lieben werde, und wenn ich mit meinem Studium fertig bin, möchte ich wahnsinnig gerne in Hamburg wohnen. Die norddeutsche Freundlichkeit, Kultur, Geschichte, Zukunft und Stolz...das ist Hamburg.

n1 is Naples, italy (highest unesco sites density in the world ). the entire city centre is unesco world heritage+pompeii-herculaneum archeological site, real palace of caserta,amalfi coast,dome of benevento (santa sofia), certosa di padula and temple of pestum. the bay of napes has capri,ischia,sorrento,vesuvio etc etc etc...no place in the world like naples.

Ich musste lächeln als ich das gelesen hab. Ich war in München und es war der Horror. Irgendwann habe ich in einen Supermarkt ein paar Holsten aufgestöbert, habe mich damit vor den Hofbräu gesetzt und laut "Ick have mol in Hamburg een Veermaster sehn" gesungen ;) In den Bergen fühlt man sich total gefangen, wenn man die Freiheit des Meeres gewohnt ist. Wer Hamburg einmal liebt, der liebt es für immer. Man kann schwer erklären warum, dass ist einfach eine tiefe Liebe...

Außerdem wohnen wir eine runde Stunde von den Bergen weg, so vonwegen "gefangen fühlen".
Ich mag das Wetter in Südbayern und ich mag das Bier (und viele andere auch!). So ist das mit der Liebe. Es wäre ja schlimm, wenn jeder in HH wohnen wollen würde, oder jeder in M. Nicht wahr?

It's a beautiful city but I would't go as far as to say the most beautiful city. The Gothic style architecture is an opinion that is not flattering in most countries, especially in the middle east and most parts if not all of Latin America. Plus the stigma that ww2 holds in most of USA minds and the crap that they feed us , oh well!
