Um... this happens a lot lately, it seems... but...
Well, I've hated Jackson for this for a long time... but my girlfriend, aided by Wikipedia and Google...
It's not that simple. Jackson... there's a lot of reasons to paint Jackson in a negative light, and that does not give him a pass for not forseeing how this would all turn out...
... but there are other villians we must not overlook.
There is a gold rush in there that gets overlooked... and some powerful interests.
A sad thing when certain parts of the government disregard the rules and regulations set upon itself by the founders of this nation. He should've been checked!
@Laoch111 You mean shame on andrew jackson? Remember, the supreme court said removing the indians was illegal, but jackson did it anyway, and the government was powerless to stop him. That is precisely why the whig political party(weak president) flourished after jacksons term.
@CoolCat00001 Did you not listen to the video? John Marshall and the Supreme Court ruled that removing the Cherokee was unconstitutional. Andrew Jackson broke American law and moved them regardless.

That's not completely true.
The Supreme Court ruled in the Cherokee's favor. President Jackson defied that ruling.
