The Tundra still sucks major ass. Never heard of recalls in all current gen years, stopped production, & stopped sales in a Big 3 truck. Toyota = EPIC FAIL
pointless comments Chevy trucks are made in Mexico not USA. Test drove Chevy, Dodge, and Ford trucks and thank god I didnt think twice. Tundra is the best of all!
Barrett, the definition of stupidity could aptly be commenting on things you know nothing about. That seems to me to be EXACTLY what you did. Your response to me calling you out only solidifies my statement, you are an ignorant, "Buy American or go to Japan!" chanting fool.
I'm a GM Silverado BLue printer worker so i rather buy a Silverado over the Tundra. But buying a Silverado only means Toyota getting free money. Some of our blue prints are shared from Toyota and if you buy Ford your giving Honda money. sadly true for us americans but rather give money to our country than theirs but we are helping them 1mil of every 6mil we make while when they make 6mil they are making it to keep. Honda restricted Ford so Honda gets 2mil of every 6mil for every F150 you buy.
toyota doesnt even offer an 8 ft. bed. how the hell can u call that a work truck? and they can tell u how much it will tow all they want but if u haul anything more than a fishing boat, you will need a heavier truck with a diesel.
007kjbond is full of shit. fist of all tundras pull silverados all the time, i have personaly pulled a silverado with my 08 tundra, just look it up on youtube. also tundras are alot bigger than silverados
That truck is hot. I'm comparing trucks and right now this truck is at the top of my list, followed closely by the Silverado, the F-150, the Titan and the Ram.
i like the Chevy Silverado more as of you do too i expect but would you not say such an embarrasing comment Toyota Tundra tug of war with silverado and won
do it...my dad hace a 2000 tacoma with 200,000mls and my mom hace a 2004 tundra with 95,000mls...i just got my 2006 tundra trd and put 20k on it already...non of them have had any problems or recalls...wish i could say that about our old f150 thats in a junkyard somewhere.
Wow, that's amazing. I've got a little over 100K on my F-150. I've had a few problems (although minor) with it. The major problem was a factory defect which was fixed under warranty. It was a fuel injector problem that caused the truck to die in the middle of the road. All my friends that have Tundras/Tacomas love'em.
I don't spend alot of time researching the Tundra but I do drive it alot. I have the 4.7L and it pulls a new holland skid steer and trailer weighing in at 9350 lbs very well. It is a pretty awsome Ram killer as well. Man that guy was pissed when he caught up with me. I will hang on to the Tundra for a while and enjoy the excellent resale value.
Well punch if there are thousands of Tundras with this problem out there, and your ears are so much smarter than mine, one could only conclude that you would have some evidence, like thousands of articles about the thousands of trucks with the problem. Or is there nothing being reported?
Ahh yes, those people who say they are owners again. We can go down this road again punch. I own an F150 and the passenger seat shot me in the face with a gun. Remember that argument? People can say whatever they want on here, none of it can be taken as true unless it is backed up by something proven.
They may set the record for massive recalls? How do you figure punch, the camshaft came and went 5 months ago and have you heard anything about any more of them breaking?
So when are these thousands of trucks going to have camshaft problems? My statement still stands, have you heard a thing about any camshafts breaking in more than those original 20 trucks?
Go to there website and look at the prices big guy, comparably equipped (which really you can not comparably equip the Ford to the Tundra) the Tundra Double Cab is between $1,000 and $3,000 cheaper than the F150 SuperCab.
I was not talking about estimates Punch, I was talking about ACTUAL real world testing done with trucks in real driving situations on real roads. The estimate you are talking about is done on a dyno, in a room. But I guess if you believe that every F150 gets exactly 22 MPG when it touches the highway because that is what it is estimated at, go right ahead.
All camshafts from a particuliar supplier are not defective Punch. The issue occured at one plant within a certain time frame. This probelm was caught early and the production process was changed early in manufacturing.
As for the gas guzzling comment, the Tundra gets better gas mileage than the Ford, Chevy or Dodge. It certainly is not good or even average gas mileage but it is the best combination of speed, power, towing, hauling and gas mileage money can buy.
Here's the story on the towing folks. The only Ford cab configuration that out hauls and out tows its comparable Tundra cab configuration is the Regular Cab. In all other cabs the Tundra can out haul, and out tow its comparable Ford counterpart.
does this take premium gas or can you use regular unleaded?

You domestic fans sure do know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about your trucks.

Most of the money goes to Japan though
ShannonCole888 3 years ago 3
hello, its still Japanese that's why it goes to Japan, not to the country itself but to TOYOTA.
it is divided there, and also with the FACTORY WORKERS in SAN ANTONIO TX.
so don't act like Toyota doesn't pay there employees well.

According to the Ford DVD on truth about trucks, and Several online resources. The Tundra though ok, is not all that good for work.

wow look at that guzzler. I wonder it toyota has an optional farm tank trailer fuel tank to feed that engine.
brianthedog159 4 years ago
Oh, and before any of you talk about the 07 silverado's towing.
GCWR=16000 lbs.
Curb weight=5265 lbs.
16,000-5265=10,735 lbs.
For the crew cab version
16,000 lbs.-5,371 lbs.=10,629 lbs.
jreily1988 4 years ago
Actually, the towing capacity of the f150 is a complete lie.
GCWR of f150 reg. cab long bed=15,300 lbs.
Curb Weight= 4,944 lbs.
15,300 lbs.-4,944 lbs.=10,356 lbs.
For the payload:
GVWR=8200 lbs.
Curb Weight=4,944 lbs.
8200 lbs.-4,944=3,256 lbs.
So, the payload is correct, but the towing is not.
jreily1988 4 years ago
Nice Truck but Ford F150 still out pulls this truck for the 2007 model year, Toyota 10,800, Ford 11,000. and payload in ford is over 3000
