  • Really like this series of essays! Thanks!

BTW Your choice of music is impeccable

  • And this must be where the idea of Indiana Jones originally comes from

  • Excellent. Great choice of music, and nicely produced! I love it.

  • @edsquidful Thank you very much! With the exception of the text color (it's harder to see red, which is why I switched to using white text), this is one of my favorite videos that I've done. I appreciate the kind words!

  • Very impressive! I plan on checking out your entire series of pulp video essays.

  • @mh430 Thank you very much! I haven't been making videos too much lately (I've been busy getting my own hero-pulp novel written and published) but I plan on doing more when I can. The next one in the series is The Avenger!

  • What overature is it your using? Just curious.

  • @imkerrusin The music is "Olympic Fanfare" by John Williams.

  • Great job, man! Doc rocks!

  • Thanks, Doc! Glad you like it.

  • The Doc Savage videos always play music like this why no Atryu, Faith no More, Metallica?

  • Because it fits the spirit of classic adventure themes of Doc's stories. If I was doing videos about Wolverine or Spawn or any of those other modern and "dark" heroes, maybe then I'd use harder music, but Doc's a charitable guy who strives to make the world a better place... that just doesn't fit heavy metal.

  • I don't like Wolverine or Spawn I like Batman who was inspired by all the pulps and I'm just saying all the Doc Savage videos play the same music why not Alter Bridge, Breaking Point, Finger Eleven?

  • No, I know what you're saying. I guess it comes down to individual tastes sometimes. Like when I used a drum and bass song (Photek's "The Hidden Camera") on my Phantom Detective video. It's modern but I thought it fit the theme.

And Batman... DEFINITELY the torch-bearer of the pulp-era in comics. Speaking of that stuff, I'm looking forward to the Captain America in WWII movie. One of the same guys who worked on The Rocketeer and Raiders of The Lost Ark is doing it, so it should be fun!

  • Because Savage was the ephytome of the Good Man! A true Hero, we need more like him.

  • Doc Savage NEVER killed his enemies? Read his first two stories. In the third, he told his companions never to kill unless necessary.

  • You got me there, eagle-eye ;)

I forgot that little tidbit when squeezing the Doc dynasty into the video.

  • You did an awesome job on this music video, love it.

  • Thanks, glad you like it!

  • Great work. And GREAT choice of music! Higher, faster, stronger!

  • Thank you!

When I was doing that, I couldn't stop grinning, because it's just so over the top, but it fits so well.

  • WW1 where mystery men and pulp heroes were born!

  • And the Orient, don't forget the Orient! LOL

  • this is goddamned KILLER!!!!!

  • I told you it was going to be over-the-top :D

  • Great Job Bebes!!!

  • Why thank you, :*
