You forgot to mention that the FDA only needs 2 positive studies to approve a drug (in the case of psychiatric 'mental illness' drugs). So even if a drug company gets back 20 failed studies they only have to supply 2 positive ones for it to pass FDA approval. Oh and you also forgot to mention the FDA gets advice from Big-Pharma reps so the information is completely biased and misrepresented.

The FDA isn't on our side to help us. They've passed all sorts of nasty things.

It's all a scam..from the drug companies that submit a new drug that proves to be fatal, from the FDA that approves it and allows toxic chemicals, like high fructose corn syrup, to be put into the food supply, from the food companies that add such ingredients to their products to cut costs, to the healthcare companies that know what cause disease but exploit the healthcare system to turn a profit.

who is there to tell us the difference between company spin and fact on...say...cars?

companies like consumer reports, car and driver mag, and others actually make a profit doing exactly this b/c people want that type of information. also, you assume that the fda is ACTUALLY doing that. they are not. they let drugs through or not based on political favors and other non-medical factors such as how many drugs of the same classification are already on the market. the government is not our saviour.

We should phase out and eventually abolish the FDA. Without government to regulate food and drugs private companies will emerge to make things are safe.
