Hi - I really enjoyed the vid and your commentary. I've been thinking about getting a Cordoba GK like yours, so this has been very helpful. You have a different, but very cool style of playing. Thanks for posting!
Where is this guitar made? I can't believe you can get it for $649 dls. I want to buy one and if is made in Spain, I'll be more than happy and I won't need any other guitar.
@SalvvOrtiz Cordoba's are made in California. They have a website as well were the list their dealers. Also look on Musician's Friend. hope this helps
@JustyStoky I just found that they are made in China. Big disappointment. Maybe some of the most expensive are made in California, but this one is made in China.
@SalvvOrtiz I looked it up it says that most are made in China, but at least it says "handmade" lol which makes me feel a little better. It' still a good guitar if you wanna get it there are also 2 more Studio models. The GK Studio Pro is the most expensive one
@JustyStoky Yes it's still a good guitar, and they are kind of embarrased to put the "Made in China" label at the sound hole, so they put a small one way inside at the neck heel. Am thinking about buying one and just remove the small label.
@JustyStoky Cordoba guitars were never made in California, prior to being made in China, they were mostly made in Spain, a few were made in Portugal. I own 3 Cordobas, two Spanish made, and one from Portugal. The Chinese Cordobas are quality guitars, but they dont have the same tone as the Spanish made versions.
nice guitar. I'm thinking about getting one of those myself. I had a yamaha classical/flam. and sold it. :( try some jerry reed stuff if you like to finger pick
I just bought this guitar today. I've been playing it at Guitar Center when I stopped in there from time to time. I bought the Fishman Mini Loudbox amp and it sounds awesome with this guitar. If your looking for an inexpensive but awesome amp to match up with this guitar, check it out!
@MDefsquad9 The "difference" between classical and flamenco is trivial. This is a very versatile guitar because you CAN use it for both genres. I know I have my eye on this guy 'cause it sounds great even unplugged, looks awesome and priced right. The ibanez aeg10ne doesn't sound that great unplugged so this is the guy for me.
nice piece on the guitar...you seem like a genuinely nice guy (which is more important than any old guitar)! The world would be a better place if more people were honest and humble like you seem to be...anyway, just thought I would tell you that it was refreshing watching someone who wasn't trying to "be somebody"..Thanks! BTW, your playing is good also.
@Family4china thanks so much, guitar's not my main instrument I guess that's why when I play guitar I try to be humble about it, but yeah thanks for the kind words :)
Ya that guitar sounds good :) It seems to enjoy its high end. I dont know what else you can use for an acoustic guitar's top except Sitka Spruce. Both the top and the sides are so light I cant guess from the vid what it might be. Birch??? Definetly need to hear more from that Ax. Great demo. If they could use a salesman they should grab you :D Thx .
@badback22 I found out from their website what it's made of, Solid European Spruce Top, Cypress Back & Sides, Rosewood Fingerboard, Bridge, and Binding ,
yeah, Cordoba should give me a call, lol, promotions, sales rep something
