Medicaid and Food stamps are another way for government to have their hands in individuals lives and often in a negative and destructive way. This country has a long history of taking care of it's poor and and jobless when they are down on their luck. Maybe Webster is right in that Ron Paul may not see some of the immediate repercussions for his policy in limiting the welfare state, but that doesn't mean he is wrong in the long run.

Easy solutions: raise interest rates, bring back tariffs and American manufacturing, Or better still how about all 50 something States within the said United States declare themselves INDEPENDENT of the warmongering tyrant called the United States. Think about it, If each State is already sovereign, why not. Hey just an opinion.:)
