AMAZING performances from child actors - there are some who would say that it is wrong that they were around so much gore (the special effects are pretty good) I will say as long as it was carefully filmed...

There's really only one little scene in Let Me In that is different story wise from this one. And it's not a "copy" it's because us Americans are too damn lazy to read subtitles that they had to Americanize it. I prefer this one anyway.

SPOILERS!! Wow-- everybody needs to read the book. There is so much more to Eli and Oskar, especially Eli. They laugh-a lot. They joke-a lot they play-a lot. They talk --a lot. She becomes more like a 12 year old, full of fun. When she is in bed with Oskar, she cuddles with both arms around him and her head buried in his back and he holds both of her hands. Nothing sexual. Oh to have a friend like that. But every time she is close to him she has to restrain herself not to feed if she is "hungry"

I don't know why they market this as "horror movie". it is not horror at all, it is simply beautiful and very deep. It describes the mixture of naivety, cruelty, unease and decision making that growing up implies. Feelings come out so raw and unpolished from the acting and from the way the film is shot without the general gloss you see in Hollywood productions, and that's what makes this movie disturbing and wonderful at the same time
