I just got one of these... with the upgrade to 2.01 (I know... I'm way behind the times) it's really great. I'm not a tech person... and this is my first smartphone... it is so very easy to use and understand... easy to find stuff on the browser. really love the card system... the four bottom apps can be changed... All you have to do is bring up the launcher and drag the bottom ones up, then drag the ones from the launcher to the bottom... You can actually remove everything from the bottom (exept for the launcher of course) soooo yeah... I love the physical keyboard... Can't stand touchscreen keyboards... They piss me off sooo much

I have a Palm Pixie, and my husband has an Iphone. I love my Palm, and find it really easy to use. My husband's Iphone feels heavy and the touch screen keyboard is hard to operate. The applications crammed onto the page is overwhelming too. I would have to say that Palm is a better choice.

Lets consider the facts, Palm like Kodak held on to their oldschool philosphy in a day of technology where shit changes almost on a daily basis. Kodak was slow to respond to digital cameras and Palm kept up their oldschool PDAs while Blackberrys and other smart phones got better and better. I heard U2 invested a lot of money in Palm. Just so everyone knows, the Pre allows for OTA (over the air) updates, meaning unlike the iPhone, you don't have to plug the phone into a computer to update to the latest version of webOS. The updates are fairly frequent and always bring some awesome features to the table. If you are savvy enough to get into the homebrew community the capabilities of the Pre are ENDLESS. the community is always coming out with new features not built into webOS that make it the most featured phone on the market.
