  • The best music by the best musicians in this Planet.Kiitos.

  • Oops. Take 2...Was jazzed to see McLaughlin playingbw Santana, so I went to Amazon to order the DVD only to find that he's not on it!! Guess I won't be buying it after all.

  • Was JAZZED to see McLaughlin playing with McLaughlin

  • Total Rubbbbishhhh...we are now in the 21st century check out Fractal Audio. Dweezil Zappa uses 2 Fractals live and has done away with all the amps etc that he used to re-create Franks incredible tones from the 60`s /70`s/80`s--Gregg Howe uses one. John Petricci. etc etc.. the list goes on and on and on...

  • @251dog I think that this was recorded from a television 1:19 shows it. But Im glad Carlos went back to his jazz roots. He kept playing the same repetitive latin rock style in the early 2000s but Iam not saying its bad.

  • @santanaincubus I maybe worng and I think this was recorded at the concert itself. I know that the sound quality sounds a bit off. Maybe its just the camera.

  • Let's go!

  • Christ what is this fucked up camera work??? I could do a better job than that even if I were fucked up shitfaced drunk on JACK DANIELS!!! A travesty and a disgrace to Mclaughlin and Santana!!!!

  • Absolute masters. I love this! There are no other musicians who can bring out spiritual grace as these two masters do.

  • @aschuppe

    Spiritual grace?

All that from a guitar. You've got a scoop.

  • Fantastic - Is there any full video of this available?

  • I don't know how rehearsed John and Carlos were on this reunion but the original LP was absolute perfection in comparison to this performance.

    Nevertheless...,

I still really enjoyed seeing them do "Let Us Go Into House Of The Lord"

It's a song that makes me see the power of faith through transcendent devotion.

To perform this masterpiece requires a spiritual humility that humbles all ambition. That humility was conveyed on the original release.

Thankz and post more of this show if you can.

  • sound sucks

  • They are both using some synth-enhanced technology these days. Imagine if they had it back in the 70s! This music is transcendent.

  • @bobmuse40 What do you mean by synth-enhanced technology ? Yes, John M uses synth effects but Carlos doesn't. Actually, he is on of the few guitarists left these days who actually relies on the amp settings and floor marking (food guitar feedback). You can set his gear set-up on thehe official Santana site. Only uses the best of the best, PRS guitars, MesaBoogie and Dumble overdrive amps. You may have mistaken the poor sound quality in the clip with use of synths.

  • @q2w3bn876 You're right. It must be the sound quality. Carlos on his PRS is wrenching atmospheric sounds anyway :) I used to own a PRS. I wish I still did :(

  • @q2w3bn876 You`l find that John is not using any synths, he has just got his guitar plugged in, and no Synth access. But he runs his guitar through a computer to do away with amps etc With all the tech around these days, like Fractal Audio, there is no need for an amp either in a bedroom or in an arena. BUT what he does have is an incredible muso..

  • @251dog Wrong! Depends on your style. No electronic device or even solid state amp can rival the tone that comes from vacuum tube saturation. A jazz player that plays 100% clean can get away with not having tubes. But for distortion as in blues, rock and fusion tube amps are the order of the day.

  • carlos has a new sound. Not sure it's an evolution but powerful.

  • I remember the great percussion play of the absolute conga-bongo artist Armando Peraza.

  • LDS!!! YES!

  • Thanks for posting.

  • I am crying!Thank you! I am laughing too because this is the best music played by the best Musicians on Earth. No comparison. No prison.Carlos and John,Autlan and Yorkshire.Together these two friends make the best music ever, thank you.

  • I was there too, and the track is called! "Let Us Go Into The House Of The Lord"

  • @LockOnNow Me too.I would have ---paid a lot to see them.

  • Divine... I wish to see the whole video of this show!
