Jahpie, to answer your question: Beenie did the song exactly as Dave Kelly recorded his demo. It had the same exact flow, vocal style, tone and cadence. I really suspect that if we had picked Bounty it would have sounded identical to both the Beenie Man version and the Dave Kelly demo because that is the way Dave Kelly worked. He wrote the song and he demo'd it out the exact way he wanted the artist to sing/deejay it. Then he made sure the artist performed it his way.

I ask because, concidering the fact that D.Kelly demo'd it his way and the song is perfect for this riddim. To Xymaicana: Actually the song was written by Dave Kelly for Cutty Ranks. After some "creative differences" in the studio, Cutty Ranks never finished the project. As the A&R for the project, i had a choice between Beenie and Bounty and I was the one who made the decsion to go with Beenie. The original demo as written for Cutty was sung by Dave Kelly in the same style you hear Beenie sing it.
