  • Well said dude.

  • I see you're trying to be clever? But then you let yourself down with 'your' immature comment at the end. What a fucking Hypocrite.

  • We give a shit moron! Shut your mouth.

  • liamardo007 is a WILLYHEAD

  • ha ha you felt the need to reply to a comment that wasnt even directed at you. My comment was made to stop the arguing and just appreciate the music.

However seeing as it seems you have taken my comment to heart, I shall now reply in a one worded childish manner, you sir are a poopyhead, good day.

  • res all yuh blood claaaaat

  • Murder Owhhhh ,,,beanie Man and berington Levy ,,,,,murder,,,,,,

  • @liamardo007. if u know well. there was no language as english. it was mere mixture of latin, french, spanish and other languages. so i guess that the so cold "conservative people" of dem days made the same kind of idiotic talk u trying to make here. What u need to know is that every language is dynamic. it has to change with time. seems u neva took a language class or your teacher neva taught u anything.

    nb; nothing personal

  • Go to your profile for my more detailed explanation.

  • Your illiteracy will define you and this is my point. "you are what you eat" for example.. Your 'Meme', goes nowhere! (search the meaning) Your retort is so childish and naive i can't continue any dialogue with you.

  • how u feel if yo wake1 mornin

  • This way of speaking will keep the 'yoot' from learning

    communication skills!

  • @liamardo007 Your certainly capable of communicating how ignorant you are.

  • You see? It's 'You're' certainly, not 'Your'!! This proves my point precisely. I'm only highlighting how the possibilities and beauty of language are limited by the introduction of patwa. Or Creole! What kind of ignorance are you referring to?

  • @liamardo007 The ignorance stems from the fact that you judge those who speak Jamaican Creole to be less intelligent or capable of learning, than those who speak "proper" English. Perhaps your comment could be given credence if it was supported by fact, rather than just a blatantly biased, condescending and judgmental opinion.

  • The facts, in this case, speak for themselves? Statistics show the ratio between ethnic minorities living in 'other' societies prove underachievement is prevalent. And I'm only making an observation about the way young British born are negatively influenced by 'street' speak! Impeding their ability to communicate properly. It affects synaptic connection in terms of the use of grammatical skill.

But i feel you are desperately trying to attack me or look for an excuse to label me, why is that?

  • @liamardo007

I bet the anglo-saxons felt the same way when normans landed and started changing the english language as well. did that limit the "possibilities and beauty" of the english language?

    no, it did not.

  • my point again? Stop being argumentative and learn something: The "English" didn't speak "English" 1500 years ago! They spoke Latin and Welsh & were known as 'Britons'. French for Brittany. Saxons, the creators of the term English, came from 'Angeln' in Germany? Their invasion released us from Roman influence allowing us to develop with a blend of Mythology (Celtic) then a swing between Protestant and Roman influences. So the Saxons made our Language more rich! Defining the beauty of it today?

  • @liamardo007

obviously the 'english' did not speak english 1500 years ago. I wasn't talking the anglo-saxon invasions, i was talking about the 'norman conquest' later on. look it up! which, anyhow, resulted in a huge influx of french words into the english (old english) spoken at the time and making french the language of the courts for several centuries. i hope you learned something!

none of which is relevant, anyway, because you just proved my point.

  • @liamardo007

    (continued)

different cultures don't limit the possibilities of language, they enrich them. jamaicans mixed various Niger-Congo languages with english using english vocabulary with a west african grammatical structure, creating their jamaican patios as we know it today.

  • Jamaican dialect doesn't enrich the English Language. It corrupts it. OK, Jamaica has enriched British culture in many ways, but creole restricts the connections needed to exploit English to its full potential. Original Jamaicans were either natives islanders or African slaves (french speaking) who had to learn English to survive colonial oppression. Not the other way round as you say. Lack of education has stunted their ability to communicate properly. And remains to this day, unfortunately!

  • Derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......

  • Jamaican dialect is similar to creole in Haiti and Africa and many spanish adaptations in other areas of the world. You cant address our dialect without tackling the colonialism and oppression which accompanies it. This song in particular has very political undertones and what you're saying is just stupid. We went from arawak indians to columbus' leisure grounds, to the breaking ground for american slaves, to moroons which were shipped off to be slaves in Canada our history is hard, respect it!

  • @roni333 Hay! Guess what? We are 'all' from the same place! Don't you get it? I can make any judgments i feel like. History and slavery shouldn't have anything to do with the way people speak in the street! Modern society deserves proper communication, not misguided colloquialism. Educate to elevate.

  • dialect is way different than haiti Creole and Spanish Roni

  • @liamardo007 i hate people who chat shit no1 wants 2 hear

  • Good for you moron. Keep hating and let it poison your soul

  • idk where you get your facts form. Jamaica has a 97% literacy rate so you tell me what digit in that number makes you feel as though there is a "lack of education"?

  • 'You' are the missing digit? You proved my point precisely by misspelling the word "from"!!! You spelled it as "form" .

There you go. The proof is in the pudding, as they say.

  • @liamardo007 go suck your mother. Even if people from Jamaica are illiterate its the government fault not the citizens of Jamaica, The Citizens do what they can to survive in a government where the politicians work with Gangs.

School isn't going to guarantee the youths of Jamaica anything when a majority of them don't get to live to see themselves turn 18!

Before you disrespect another country, just be happy and grateful that you weren't born and raised there.

  • You idiotic winging prick! I'm talking about language on the streets of London, Moron.

  • Youth listen this is true words

  • HOTNESS!!!

Da chune ya large nuh boombeet!

  • I Fucking love this song!!!! One of the best!!!!!

  • ol tune dis..mi luv it

  • ahhh reggae

  • Yah.

  • THis is MEEEEAN!

  • Barrington Levy had the original Murder on his Album named "Original Raggamuffin Part 1", and Carlton Livingston made a song on that same riddim called "100 weight of Collie Weed". So Dave Kelly just modified the orignal riddim and Dubbed Beenie man lyrics unto this classical riddim but if I am not Mistaken Spragga Benz also dubbed a song on that riddim too.

  • This song is so f__king raw!!! Dayumm!!!!!!!

  • Jah Know! Me neva hear da wan ya yet. An me feel a way, caz who..., is a bad blood-fire tune!

Beenie, u redeem u-self once again.

  • wicked tunes dis tune used to put me a sleep in middle school n high school still a classic 242 bahamas in ur face pussyhole babylon

  • To Jahpie: I am pretty sure that Dave remixed the Murderer riddim first. He built the new track then he wrote the song on top of it. I am not 100% sure but I am pretty sure that's the way it went down.

  • biggest and baddis tune!

  • kingston still a run red....too much gun man an too little reasoning...

  • How would you feel if you wake up and saw a big M16 nozzle at ya jaw? Rebel music at its best.

  • Jahpie, to answer your question: Beenie did the song exactly as Dave Kelly recorded his demo. It had the same exact flow, vocal style, tone and cadence. I really suspect that if we had picked Bounty it would have sounded identical to both the Beenie Man version and the Dave Kelly demo because that is the way Dave Kelly worked. He wrote the song and he demo'd it out the exact way he wanted the artist to sing/deejay it. Then he made sure the artist performed it his way.

  • Thx for the reply...If I'm not mistaken, this was the 1st tune on this riddim. Was the rtrack produced before the lyrics or was produced for this tune specifically? I ask because, concidering the fact that D.Kelly demo'd it his way and the song is perfect for this riddim. I went back into the studio and started to lay the lyrics over another track, but nothing fit like this one.. Not to mention, this track doesn't follow the normal "4 count".

  • I been at this for a while and I have never heard a song mate with a riddim as perfect as this one.

  • how would you feel if one morning you wake up and saw a m16 ready to draw whauahah kills me everytime

  • the wickedest song in a dance back in a the days, me a 44 right now truss me,me dance diss a music to de max. rappa pam pam.

  • Tell dem a'ready, we 'afi tell dem again!

  • To Xymaicana: Actually the song was written by Dave Kelly for Cutty Ranks. After some "creative differences" in the studio, Cutty Ranks never finished the project. As the A&R for the project, i had a choice between Beenie and Bounty and I was the one who made the decsion to go with Beenie. The original demo as written for Cutty was sung by Dave Kelly in the same style you hear Beenie sing it.

  • Happy u went wit Beanie; ) Song wicked

  • Wow..good info....Only problem is now I'm curious to hear how Bounty would have approached the tune considering his penchant for "rude bwoy" lyrics...Did Bounty ever get a chance to read/hear the lyrics and give any hint toward his "interpretation"?

  • UNCLE MURDA does this yo that shit is fireeeeeeeeeee, i listen to dis shit cruising down the highways smoking a fat ass L

  • BIG TUNE REMIND ME OFF THE GHETTO

  • One of the top 10 reggae tunes of all time in my not so humble opinion.

  • how do you fell if you wake up one mornin and saw a big m16 nossel at your jaw

  • @pele7208 sean paul is shit man. no need to apologize for that man.

  • @thangQanime like alot of artists he was pretty cool before he was so mainstream.... but not on the level of the greats
