  • 1:30. amazing ㅇㅁㅇ.

  • I Finally found it, I saw this years ago, now I can show to friends, this is real, music is the oldest mean of communicating with no borders, telling storys, with out words, words where invented by governments, to tell us lies, they teach at some schools: "man had been to the moon", not true, this boy is real.

    David Aleman

  • @davidalemanjr are you saying that music like this preceded words like these...? and I sincerely hope that you're joking when you say that man has not been to the moon, and the nonsense about government-invented words... but nothing would surprise me...

  • he is now 11 yrs old! Thumbs up for very good fact

  • Great job! Never stop playing!

  • awesome

  • keep going man keep going. keep going. please we need better musicians to listen other than lady gaga :P

  • =´)

  • woow :o :D...

  • Amazing =D

  • It' s really an improvisation ? :O

  • Still young, still free minded :)

  • There is something of Prokofiev. Great.

  • omfg

    this is so damn good!!!

  • amazing.. its sickly good'

  • FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • SUPER LIKE.!

  • Can this kid teach me?????

  • his name is Ariel and he has own website and youtube channel

  • why you said "improvisation" ??

  • It sounds like a couple of random notes... so why should I be jealous?

  • @ophir089

I hope you don't play an instrument, cause you don't seem to be able to actually identify music.

  • Did you just witness the amazing way he changed the tonality in the first part??

  • Wow...

  • It's curious, we hear about all these amazing prodigies, and as usual it amounts to nothing.

  • holy SHIT this is improv........ his level's like when Chopin improv-ed his fantasy imrpomptu ...amazing

  • @ckcclinton nope.... cjopins level was far superior to all this hype..... not hating the kid is nice

but chopin was out of this world, as he introduced a new music style himself!

  • Bravo young man.! Keep up the good work!

  • Bravo young man.! Keep up the good work!

  • bad sound but realy gut impro

  • connmann ^^ I am a musician and i improvise and memorize a great deal. I think your discrediting by talk of what you know a young person is capable of or not is completely unjustified and i hope you learn about improvisation in the future and realise the magic of music. You should look ariel up and maybe open yourself to new possibilities.

  • :) he looks like he's having fun there.

  • This kid is very good! He's got the ear and musical understanding of someone several times his age.

However PLEASE someone tune that piano! The poor thing is crying for some TLC!

  • Shit. Improv. Real talent. I mean... this is his you know? He's not just... being trained to play others work at a ridiculously early age by his parents, he's artistically active and THINKING about transitions, notes, movement, patterns that are all... very very advanced to create yourself at this age. That's why imitators are more common.

    Good work!

  • Pure Music, Brilliant!

Of course its improvised heh, not once do you see him look up from the keys besides as jorggg says u cant fit this amount of music on one page haha, and its what Ariel does best we should all listen and humbly enjoy True musc!

  • @JimiChristopher There is no way that this is improvised. Have you ever memorized a piece of music? it's really quite simple. A six year old boy does not have the capacity to think ahead so much and plan melodies and rhythms in such a way that is portrayed in this video. His absence of reading the music proves nothing at all. I assume he memorized this piece. There is no real way to prove this is improv and i see more proof that this is a piece of music that was memorized.

  • @connmann1015 sounds improvised-theres no proof that there isnt

  • Some people here think he has learned or is reading this music, but anyone who has improvised should recognise that this is an improv. This little guy is very bright and imaginative, uses the whole keyboard, repeats patterns in different octaves, uses dynamics, velocity, articulation and other techniques to express his feelings, which is what it's all about! I find his natural, fresh creativity utterly inspiring! It's too easy to become jaded and lose the gift of inspiration as we get older.

  • are there any other videos of this being? he is one of those rare creative improvisors. thank you for posting this!

  • Who the hell said Chinese people have no life? they live a life of awesomeness. their all so amazing. maybe its racial profiling, but in a good way.

  • it looks like he has notes in front of him (though it also looks like he isn't looking at them), but either way this is freaking amazing

  • Not really an improvisation if there's sheet music in front of him, eh?

  • @frefence If u can see through your eyes, you see it's just a white paper-.-

nice played, but I don't think he's improvising, but who am I:), he surely have improvised it, but not at that moment I think, but if he really did, bravo!

  • @frefence thats not sheet music u idiot.

  • @frefence If you really think, that it's possible to create sheet music at this small piece of paper in front of him, containing almost seven minutes of music he played, congratulations!

Even if it isn't an improvisation, but his own composition, this boy has a great talent. Now he is 10, I would be very pleased to hear more stuff he did.

  • @frefence lolol I don't think that long music would be fit into that a4 paper. i bet you don't play a piano or any other instrument. and maybe you don't knwo how improv sounds . cause THAT'S and improv. Anyways, if he has grown in a family that plays piano, no wonder. though I play piano for 4 years and I'm not guaranteed if I could do this

  • @jorggggggg @KadiCompany @Ezelaaptftw

Okay, sorry that there's a six month gap in between my reply '^ ^. I haven't been on for a while.

First of all, I do play piano. Second of all, I do know how improvisation sounds. Third of all, I didn't say he was sight-reading the sheet music, allow me to clarify. I meant that that one page could have been the first page to this song, which he played before, and knows by heart.

However, on a closer look, yeah, that's not sheet music. Woops ^ ^

  • sure nicely played, but i doubt this is an inprovisation..

  • Have you ever sat down at a piano and just explored the instrument? In some ways, it's easier than going from sheet music.

  • @Ozarkeree yes i have, in fact thats what i do every day. thats why i see that he is playing certain patterns that he has thought of before this vid. Dont get me wrong, as i've said earlier, its awesome how this kid plays! and whether some things are imvrovised or not, its still awesome :D

  • the piano needs to be refined, buy great impro!!!! you're talented boy!

  • oh my gosh.

  • Funny, all you do is talk shit on your account

also, if Chinese people have no life

then 60% of the worlds factory items wouldn't say Made in China would they?

  • lololol best comeback comment ever made. upps xD

  • Haha thank you :D

  • @JABUUTY671 you have no idea what a life is do you?

  • @THENINTENDOLUMINARY

you have no idea that I don't care anymore?

trolling on the internet isn't good for the soul.

Leave it and me be and please be respectful .

When people troll, they're just displaying that they're worst than a 12 year old poser skater.

  • @JABUUTY671 if your idea of "a life" is hard work for long hours and little pay then it is you who is trolling

  • @THENINTENDOLUMINARY

    Life isn't easy.

  • @THENINTENDOLUMINARY You know, if you actually dedicated your time to something, you might not actually be jealous of the improvisation skills of a 6 yr old

  • @kidaero What are you talking about? If I dedicated my time to something then I wouldn't be me.

  • @JABUUTY671 actually thats precisely why everything says made in China :3

  • @JABUUTY671 It's actually because of that why they have no life, if you produce 60% of the factory items with around 1/6th of the population, you're doing something ALOT, without real breaks and focussing on other things. Like.... No-life people

  • @mafiabaas0

statistics kill me. i'd rather go for a first hand feel of life in China than to read stats.

  • @mafiabaas0 Exactly

  • @JABUUTY671

    Quantity is not necessarily quality.

  • I think this is beautiful! He does have a gift, and so much feeling. You can see it in his movements. He plays like someone who's exploring the sounds of the instrument, not like someone who's had many lessons.

I did this as a child, with no lessons and I still don't read music. It gave me joy, and peace, and it's not the kind of thing that comes from pushy parents. Trust me.

Anyone who can play how they feel has a gift, no matter how "simple" or complex their playing. At 6 it's amazing!

  • Dang!! Look at him play! Very talented!!

  • did he get inspiration from final fantasy music ? (dun get me wrong coz I think this kid is brilliant and final fantasy music is too)

  • what s your name, boy ?

why don't you give a concert at my local ? :(

  • perv... LOOOOOOOOL

  • songs on the piano are even more fun when you're the one playing it!

  • Does he eat food???

  • domage du public si irrespetueux ki ne sait pas etre en silence....

    fantastike^^

  • ZOMG!!! Prodigy!!

  • Totally agree with

    RadekII ! :)

  • Haha, I love how he moves when he has to reach.

  • he'll be the next jordan rudess

  • Just realised this was posted 3 years ago. Would love to hear what he's doing now.

  • What an athletic performance - all over the keyboard. Great to hear a young kid doing his own composition like this. Would love to hear him play on properly tuned piano - this puts my teeth on edge.

  • he is a savant ... and learned playing the piano by his own ... pretty much over night ...

  • Can't wait to see what he's capable of in ten or twenty years.

  • fantastic.

  • 6:27

  • so this is what a prodigy looks like improvising

  • You don't understand; if this is improvisation, it means he's making it up on the spot as he goes along. Which is hard for most adults to do, let alone a 6-year-old.

  • I know wat an improvisation is -_-

  • Regardless if it's basic or not TheScottishPole, he's a six year old boy. Yes, some people can do this at this age but it's rare. The boy has talent even if it isn't completely refined, yes, it may be muddled and a bit messy, but it's still music, and improvised music. He may not be Mozart but at least he can play. You never know, he may become a well-known 21st century modern composer.

  • Oops.. I didn't mean TheScottishPole, very sorry. I was aiming that comment at XOneManGangX

  • That is nothing?

It's normal to do this when you are 6 and play piano Oo

  • Yeah, totally.

  • I could do this when I was 6 as well...

  • if this is an improvisation, he's the best composer I know...

in fact I don't believe it, he uses very difficult technics and even changes the key.

maybe the part in the middle on about 2:30 ist an improvisation, but never the whole song

  • that's absolutely incredible wow

  • Was it really an improvisation??

  • no 1:27 it sounds a bit prokofievan, no?

  • nunca e escuchado esta melodia per es como si la hubiese escuchado tokas mui bien de verdad por la edad

  • i like it all the way to 1:27

  • lol me too.

  • O__O Seriously amazing for a 6-year-old. That kid got talent.

  • That's kind of like how I play when I improvise by ear.. but I'm 16.

  • Holy goooowd O_O

  • wow, he's building up some great themes and then he's moving to some interesting developments. I definitely wasn't doing this at 6---still can't totally do that now. I hope he continues to pursue this type of thing, even if at least as just a hobby! :D

  • I just can't wait to see his future! His technical skill are wonderful, but his harmonic inventiveness and his originality of style simply shout, "COMPOSER"!!!

  • At six he probably isn't aware of how talented he is. He was playing from the heart and enjoying every note. Will he score his first movie by age 9? Not out of the question.

  • Wow he sure is great for his age. He's a prodigy! His parents should be proud of him.

  • Is there a name for this song?

  • lol probably not if its improv

  • it's a fucking improvisation lol what kind of question is that

  • yeah well...i could do that when i was 1. HA! lol jk.. im not mean. this kid is freaking brilliant. i want his piano so badly... and his talent

  • hey BOY!!!

  • is he really 6 yrs old? Such precocious piano playing and mature chords.

  • how can chords be mature?

  • lol

  • you know... not noise like most young musicians play.... watta ridiculous question

  • There is so much creation, imagination and emotion, even if it's very messy, it's definitly the most impressive improvisation that I have ever seen.

  • its not that big of a deal ppl. he simply has been nurtured with piano all his young life so thats all his brain is programmed for. i bet he wont be good in math or reading if his nurturers have forgotten about them and hell just be a one-talented kid

  • i guess your right, but im still glad he is into music.

  • so you sai that beethoven and mozart ore just programmed people?? so according to you any good people is just a good guy from the bunch?? are yu discriminating every young talented ore genius in history?? like fro example einstein ore bohr ore decartes ore platon ore bach ore any of this great guys

    controll yourself please

  • pretty much. they had good Activated genes, great infantile upbringing and nurturing, and great circumstances. any1 can be a "genius" or "prodigy" especially in this era as soon the practice of gene manipulation will boom full throttle and great ethical questions will arise of whether we should manipulate our children to be perfect. anyway, this kid along with mozart and the others simply had perfect inherited and Activated genes, perfect parents (esp. Mozart's father), and a perfect situation

  • if you think , In Brahms time there were at least 100 composers and lot of them hae the same education and like the talent but we only remembered like him

Also Einstein never have an encourage education as a child, and he did change the phisycs any was my friend

So I think your comment just radiate like ignorance and wishes for being special ore geting atention.

    it is just sad

  • I respect your opinion, you are entitled to it, and so am I.

You should work on that broken english though. :) Nice conversing with you.

  • You do now most composer lived a crap life

  • Couldn't be as bad as yours, most composers I know of have decent grammar and can also spell.

  • any1 viewing the notion of "genius" as mystical or unattainable is ignorantly disregarding the fact that they can do something about their own lives and work hard to make themselves better. humans generally have the same capabilities as others. it is just their upbringing or nurturing that activates (their genes) their creative minds and stimulates them to view certain things, such as pno or physics, as learnable and fun! once u get kids hooked at an early age(1-4)then the posibilities r endless

  • I dont think so, there is something call as a genius, for example menuhin never had an education aas a really child I eman 3 ore 4 but as soon as he startes he already was abble of playing at 6 the mendelssohn concerto, anyways I think you are just pretending to be interesting,, it deoesnt matter how much you try tu educate a child if he is not a prodigy he is not going to play

And anyways mozart beethven brahms (I dont know about this chils) are geniuses very special people

  • true, but not. people that have been in touch with reading and counting music are supposedly a step ahead of others. they maturity also gives them a head start in english, as well as literature, but history and science doesnt come involved, so they will most likely not be a scientist or a teacher of history. not trying to be an asshole or anything i totally agree with your point, but only to an extent.

  • This boy is a real UFO among even child prodigies, I've never seen such an original musical personality (among so much videos of prodigies!).

  • if he is improvising, i would be suprised but impressed.

if he was 6 years old, i would be also suprised, but impressed.

    but well done!

  • aa out of tune piano but good playing

  • kid don't give up!!! i started playing piano 3 years ago and august is starting my 4th year and im 13 right now and 2 months ago i recieved the title of Musician Master of Arizona which is one of the top positions you can ever get to for this state. which basically means i finished piano lessons and now im moving onto creating my own music and sharing it with the world, so don't ever give up!!!

  • shade monkey, if he is reading a piece that covers the whole piano at 6 it is still amazing.

  • okay, its not all about age, its about how long you've been playing. he could have been playing for 4 or 5 years. thats long enough to know the basics about reading sheet music.

  • 4 or 5 years? He is a 6 year old. A one year old learing to read music? Give him some props. He has a lot of musicality for a six year old..EVEN if he had of been reading, look at his body language...he feels a lot of music for a six year old. Give him his props and get in the habit of encouraging our youngsters. I mean, which is worse,,,,possibly reading music as a 6 year old, or hating on a 6 year old as a grown man?

  • okay i wasnt hating on him and im not a grown man lol...im 13. and i just think that people shouldn't be freaking out about a 6 year old playin that...ive seen people like 4 or 5 playin stuff like that in real life and not on youtube...its my musical life lol.

  • the beginning was good but then it just got weird...and its not improv is theres sheet music. check out my channel!

  • hey moron do you see him turning pages on that sheet? wow dude it must have the smallest print in the world and he must have the best eyes to read that small print

  • OH give me a break this is the worst playing i have ever heard in my life and i am 89 yrs old. to see this kid who has clearly been abused and forced to play this horribly. and reading from the sheets the way he does turning the pages as he goes it is just horrible to call this an improv. he needs to go back the kitchen and just do the dishes and be done with this piano playying he has no talent at all. OK now for the real review. BRAVO FANTASTIC Beautifly done

  • how has he been abused

  • it was a joke because of the comments of others about how he is reading from a sheet

  • This piece could be called, Parallel Minor Chords. Very good. Only 6 and has the knack of letting his imagination flow. It will be interesting to see how his playing developes when his knowledge of chords and voicings grow. Notice he is playing the WHOLE piano....very good.

  • Now that you are not six, what are you doing with that talent?

  • haha.good one.

  • Oh I've gone to professors and played gigs in clubs. Also at a wedding.

  • oeh .. what's that smell. Oh it's your bragging

  • Yes it is!

  • Ok Trevor, A word of advice from someone who does it for a living and started playing when I was six. Do all you can to not let playing go to your head. I would find some adults with a wider harmonic sense. Pick the brains of people with experience to make the transition from someone who is "good for his age" to someone who is truly great at any age. You are well on your way, but bragging and your own opinion of your own playing can easily derail the train. Keep up the good work!

  • Yeah, this composition director person came to my house for this lesson. He said people who don't play don't know musical sense as well as experienced professionals. They like basic simple melodies. I'm not SERIOUSLY bragging. I don't like to brag about myself but I don't know why I felt like it. I know I'm strange. :)

  • You are not strange. For your age you are very far ahead. Keep up the good work. My little brother Victor (Wooten) was light years ahead of himself too at the age of 3. Keep absorbing it all and growing. Remember the term "great playing" and easily forget the term "for your age". The "for your age" part goes away quickly...

  • what are you people, stupid? the sheet music has nothing on it

  • Its not improvised. He has the sheets right in front of his nose... Still very good.

  • nah i think it it is improvisation since he doen;t actually imo read from the sheets but who cares still great shit

  • ah it hurted my ears too much frequency hahah

  • Good, but about 2 minutes in he started just banging.

  • Outstanding !!!

  • l'air est si envoutant...

  • good enough... I can't do it, not even close

  • Very well done.

  • wow thats amazing i cant even play that!and im older then him you make me jelous good job!

  • This kid's feelin the rythm , he just has to slow his thoughts down he took it too far. at 1:28, he shoulda kept declining. thats my opinon anyways. Glad he got back on track round 2:57....i want to buy his cd when hes odler so...give me let me know when hes completed it...or give me his youtube :)

  • you think beethoven ever sat still when he wrotre the 5th? the guy was out of his nut k?....most famous musicians are real whack jobs.....take trent reznor, maynard keenan, marilyn manson, john lennon, ozzy osbourne, apocalyptica, pinkfloyd, slipknot, queen lol. All kinda OUT THERE.

  • Correct. You don't sit still, you're not supposed to. That's how you win competitions and this kid by far is going to grow up to be a prodigy. Much more than what I could ever do or am capable of. And my piano teacher thought I was a genius.. hah, look at this kid. Breathtaking.

  • i have the same piano

this is realy cute and good...well done

  • wow

I wish I was like this when I was young. haha

  • u fucking rock kid

  • he was amazing until the very ending

  • Probablemente estemos esuchando un nuevo Mozart a esta edad improvisando de esta manera como un dictado mental directo a las manos, es sorprendente!

  • he has a sheet in front of him wtf and he probably has it memorized wouldn't take that much skill

  • I'm sorry but one page of sheet music would not last for 6 and a half minutes.

And it actually would take a lot of skill to memorise that piece, plus the fact he would have had to of composed it in the first place which is amazing enough in itself.

And he's SIX for crying out loud! Playing that, whether its an improvisation or a piece of sheet music, at the age of 6 is still fucking amazing XD

  • derickhaywood: I say this in the most polite way, but your post shows a definite ignorance to piano improvisation and music in general. As jacqi123 said, there is no way that 6 1/2 minutes of music could fit on one sheet of paper. Usually in any kind of musical improv, the performer is provided with a key, scales, and chords off of which to base the improv. This keeps them from getting off course. I may be wrong, but it definitely makes more sense than your accusations. Respectfully yours,

  • o gosh. i can play all kinds of music on the piano... but one thin i definelty CANT do is improvise!!!!

  • omg!!!

    great!
