Making the first three racks into chains in one rack significantly cleans things up, the way it is done here is how it had to be done before live 6 for the most part.
'Hit me up with your dope audio effects rack, let me know what you're doing with all this sweet knowledge i'm dropping on you' haha this dude is full of love, the way it should be
Josh - WTF is THIS?! I tell you what it is .. a nice tutorial my man .. NICELY done bro .. I'd like to see the ffkn single TARD that disliked this video .. the punk ass! Nice bro - keep up the great work!
@leolodreamland HAHA, i recorded the audio through my laptop speakers... low-quity for sure... i hope you were still able to follow the tutorial and learn some things!!
@JoshuaCasper22 yeah learning all the time. was trying to get four different chains set up then being able to turn them on and off using one of four midi notes...
Have you guys seen the Windows 7 equipped StudioBLADE keyboard workstation from Music Computing? The integrated controller works beautifully with Ableton. Check out the videos on our profile! Follow the link below!
thanks JC, really appreciate the tut. Helped me out alot. Now I just need to find some good effects to fill the rack. I too have the APC and it's been collecting dust since March. Time to wipe it down. Once again thanks.
@JoshuaCasper22 No. You created 3 audio racks, then added a 4th, then mapped each audio rack to a macro in your 4th. Whatever works for you. Just a little messy IMO. Also, at one point in your video, you were unsure how reverse the values of your macro. In 'map mode' right click the map, then select 'invert range'. Take it easy!
damn dude this is a good tutorial. thanks a lot

why not just make it all in one audio rack?
csext 1 year ago
@csext it is all in one rack!! As far as the set-up, I find this the best way to stay organized.

nice tutorial JC... if you want to switch the frequency macro knob direction:
set the ''Device On'' Min value to 1 and the Max value to 127
then set the ''Frequency'' Min to 19.9 kHz and Max to 20 Hz or whatever you want...

Great video! Do you midi map anything on your apc40 or do you leave it as is out of the box? Just curious. Thanks for the vids!
